Modern high-tech tugs of POSS-115 project designed for operation on inland waterways of Ukraine are being built by NIBULON at its own shipbuilding and repair yard “NIBULON”.
As of April 30, NIBULON-5 readiness is almost 50 %, and NIBULON-6 readiness is 26 %.
Information as to the status of the vessels’ construction is for your attention.
NIBULON-5:
1. Assembly and pipeline area: main engines, auxiliary diesel-generators, pumps and other gears are being mounted in the engine room. Guide gears to lift navigation room are being installed. There is being carried out final approval of sea chests and ice boxes; then there will be installed caging on them.
2. Paint area: final coat of paint (antifouling coating) has been applied on bottom of vessel. Tanks of the engine room have been cleaned out and are being painted; at the same time there is being finished cleanout of bathroom and ballast tanks. Besides, smoke pipes and bulkheads of the vessel’s spaces are being painted. At the workshop there is being performed prime coating of pipes and items of mechanical and fitter’s part to be installed aboard.
3. The specialists have finished to produce foundations of rudder-propellers and bollards. There is being continued manufacture of portable plates, sloping ladders, and hatches to enter spaces of the vessel, and also air grids, foundations of lamps and other equipment.
4. Assembly and welding area: starboard and port foundations of rudder-propellers have been welded, and there has been started adjustment of their reducing mounting flanges. On the vessel there has been installed covering of the engine room (section No.90). Assembly of the section No.80 (navigation room) is being finished; then it will be equipped.
NIBULON-6:
1. Units No.30 and No.40 are being formed. 
Construction of vessels is performed according to the following stages: metal cutting -subassembly and fabrication – hull formation (NIBULON-6) – manufacture of hull systems – test of spaces – assembly of deck equipment (NIBULON-5) – assembly of electrical and radionavigation equipment – mounting of insulation and metal plating – plating of spaces – equipping of superstructure and living spaces – deck painting – mooring trials – sea trials.
