NIBULON-5 of POSS-115 project is being prepared for launching. When the vessel is placed on a shipyard pier, outfitting will be started, including insulation and plating of spaces.
At present the vessel’s readiness is more than 58 %. Shipbuilding progress for the last week is for your attention.
Assembly and welding area: the specialists are finishing the whole work cycle; they are installing the last shallow foundations and towing arches.
Assembly and pipeline area: there is being finished mounting of hull gears; test of the pipeline in the living accommodations has been started.
Mechanical and fitter’s area: there is being performed installation of a column to lift the pilot house and also fasteners of towing equipment, namely emergency and rescue equipment (raft, boat, life jackets, life buoys, and others) and firefighting equipment (hoses, fire extinguishers, sand bins, and others).
Painting area: there is being continued painting of the pilot house, smoke pipes, spaces of the rudder-propeller complex and engine room.
Besides, ISD companies, NIBULON’s contractors, have started their work on the vessel. At present they have performed pouring of cement covering in the bathroom units, provision stores, laundries.
NIBULON-6, the second tug, is being constructed actively, and the tug readiness is almost 30 %.
The shipbuilders have already formed the vessel’s aft half hull; the units No.10, 20, 30 have been jointed, and the superstructure’s stern (unit No.60) has been installed. Welding works of the units No.10 and 20 are being finished; the unit No.60 is being welded to the vessel’s deck.
The tug is being prepared for installation of the units No.40, 50.
Besides, there have been started metal cutting and production of assemblies for the pilot house (unit No.80); preliminary paint work is being continued in the unit No.40.
