Now the company is in the Register of the subjects of educational activity and has the opportunity to order and to issue documents on vocational training of the state standard for graduates.
It should be noted that the company’s training center was licensed to carry out educational activity in 2016. However, in connection with technical problems in USEDE software suite, NIBULON, as well as other companies, was not reflected in the Register of the subjects of educational activity; it didn’t have classification groups and, accordingly, the possibility to order documents of the state standard. Only after repeated appeals to the Ministry of Education and Science and of Ukraine and Inforesurs SE, the problem was resolved in January 2018.
On March 14, twenty-two employees of NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard received the first certificates of advanced training. These were the specialists of various professions: ship’s pipe erectors, repairmen, ship’s fitters, turners, hull assemblers, arc welders of automatic and semiautomatic machines.  Oleh Pidhorodetskyi, a technical director, handed the documents of the state standard to the employees. Oleh Pidhorodetskyi, Olha Petrova, an occupational safety engineer, and Mariana Vikhrova, a specialist of the training center, made a lot of effort to implement the program for the three-digit code for Occupational Classification in USEDE; it forms an order for certificates of competence or certificates of  advanced training. It has not existed in Ukraine before.
The duration of training depends on a promotion to a higher grade of a particular profession. The employees undergo on-the-job theoretical training according to their individual plans. After that they undergo practical training with the highly qualified instructors – NIBULON’s specialists. After gaining the relevant knowledge and skills, they have practical followed by the state qualifying exam in the presence of an approved commission. Based on answers and assessment of practical work, employees are awarded grades.
“It was an on-the-job training, which is very good, because we could work and upgrade our skills. All teachers are professionals. It is very good that the shipyard’s workers have such an opportunity”, commented Vitalii Pekur, a 5th grade turner.
In turn, Denis Naidesh, a ship’s pipe erector, thanked the management of the company for the opportunity provided. According to him, it is not easy to learn his specialty in Mykolaiv.
“We are very pleased that we have a training center, we have people who can teach both young specialists and quite experienced specialists and improve their knowledge, thereby improving the quality of work performed. We hope that more young people will come here for training, in order to gain skills and qualification. We will construct more complex orders with the specialists who have undergone training, who can operate the modern equipment the shipyard equipped with, and produce products that meet international quality standards”, said Volodymyr Zhmur, deputy director at the shipyard.
Enrolment for training is carried out at the requests of the heads of the areas regarding what kind of qualification and grade NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard requires. However, many people are already applying to the company’s training center for vocational training or advanced training.
