NIBULON’s Demining Department has completed its first commercial contract under a state tender. The operations took place in the Mykolaiv region.

To release over 50 hectares of arable land, the company’s specialists performed a full humanitarian demining cycle: from Non-Technical (NTS) and Technical Survey (TS) to the clearance of territories located in former combat zones.

During the operations, various explosive items were detected and safely disposed of, including:

• 152-mm high-explosive (HE) fragmentation artillery shells
• 120-mm and 220-mm rockets for Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS)

A total of 25 rockets of various calibers were found, specifically from Grad and Uragan MLRS.

The demining process involved two shifts of five deminers each, while the disposal of the ordnance was carried out by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU). Frozen soil and harsh weather conditions significantly complicated the process, requiring additional time and resources.

The final stage will be an External Quality Control (EQC) inspection by the National Mine Action Center of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Upon its completion, NIBULON will receive a certificate of compliance, and the landowner will receive an officially cleared plot ready for spring cultivation

Overall, as of early 2026, NIBULON’s Demining Department has returned over 7,500 hectares of agricultural land to productive use. The vast majority of these areas are farmed by the company, ensuring transparent and guaranteed lease payments to the owners.

Specifically, the results of our demining efforts have already benefited:

• 562 landowners
• 4 amalgamated territorial communities in the Mykolaiv region:
  o Snihurivska
  o Shyrokivska
  o Pervomaiska
  o Bereznehuvatska.
