On October 16, 2015, NIBULON gave a start to the construction of its transshipment terminal in Buzke village (Voznesensk district, Mykolayiv region) with the participation of the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
On October 23, 2015, NIBULON officially laid its new terminal to be constructed as part of the company’s investment project. It will be the third terminal in Mykolayiv region constructed by NIBULON.
Gidrotechnologiya Ltd. (NIBULON’s contractor) is performing soil reclamation (topsoil removal) and placing soil in storing places. The contractor has already removed 18 thousand m³ (out of 26 thousand m³ planned) which exceeds two silos of 5.5 thousand tons each.
At the same time NIBULON’s specialists are making vertical addition of soil to lay the foundations of the future silos. At present NIBULON has transported almost 3 thousand m³ out of 18 thousand m³ planned.
It should be noted that the specialists have already prepared an area to lay the foundation for the first grain storage and rammed the first ten piles.
The specialists have already rammed 59 piles to construct foundations of the administrative and laboratory building. The company used reinforced compound piles (27 m) produced at Mykolayiv ferroconcrete products plant. Please note that the average height of a nine-storey building in Ukraine comprises 29 m.
NIBULON has started preparatory works in the energy sector at the site. Thus, at present the specialists are preparing to relocate a high-voltage line placed in the facility’s territory. In addition, the company has already installed a transformer of 400 kVA in order to ensure temporary electricity.
The company plans to put the terminal into operation on June 1, 2016. It will impress with its modern design and high-tech equipment.
There will be performed the following works:
– 2, 726 piles will be rammed;
– Mykolayiv and Voznesensk ferroconcrete products plants will have a workload;
– about 3 thousand tons of metalware will be mounted, which is equivalent to more than 25 railcars;
– concrete (which is equivalent to 5 km of road with a width of 9 m) will be poured;
– 141 km of cable will be laid;
– 4,785 km of water supply system and sewage system will be laid;
– a gas supply network of 6 km length will be installed;
– about 45 construction organizations will be involved in constructing the terminal, i.e. about 1,500 workers will have a job during construction.
The cost of the terminal located in the area of almost 12.5 ha will be almost UAH 450 million. The newly constructed complex will have the technical characteristics as follows: capacity – 76 thousand tons, daily capacity of dryers – 4 thousand tons, daily capacity to load on water transport – 12 thousand tons.
NIBULON will use modern technologies and equipment when constructing the facility. Thus, it will install modernized МС 3180 dryers produced by Mathews Company, with a capacity of about 75 tons per hour. The company will also use transport equipment produced by CIMBRIA UNIGRAIN A/S (Denmark) being a long-standing partner of NIBULON. Symaga (Spain) will supply silos equipment and Buhler (Germany) – grain cleaning machinery.
The berth (length – 120 m and width – 18 m) to be constructed by NIBULON will enable the company to load its non-self-propelled vessels (90 m length). In order to perform these operations the company will install a TELESTACK ship loading machine with a capacity of 500 tons per hour.
The transshipment terminal will enable people to get a job, as NIBULON plans to create 100 new workplaces.
In addition, the new terminal in Mykolayiv city will be of great benefit for the region as well as local farmers. The agricultural commodity producers will get a reasonable price for their products grown (due to the transport expenses reduction without involving resellers).
A network of river transshipment terminals along the Southern Bug will enable NIBULON to transport up to 1 million tons of cargoes by water annually which represents the same figure as would be carried out by up to 50 thousand trucks in Mykolayiv region.
The transshipment terminal’s construction in Buzke village will promote the development of transport infrastructure for storing and transshipping grain in Ukraine.
