NIBULON Continues Constructing its Transshipment Terminal of “Voznesens’ka” Branch

Crisis opens new possibilities and not only creates obstacles. The Ukrainian agrarian market is a place, where the company acts as a strategic investor. Implementing its unique investment projects, NIBULON gives a job to thousands of specialists in different sectors of the Ukrainian economy.
Within this project, NIBULON continues constructing its transshipment terminal of “Voznesens’ka branch” in Mykolayiv region. New production achievements were discussed at the regular production meeting held on Saturday. There remain 60 days till the construction completion.
The main event in recent days is the construction completion of the transformer substation with a machine hall and a control room.
NIBULON will start mounting two transformers and modern German equipment in the machine hall in the near future. The level of production automation will be so high at the terminal that only four shift operators can work here.
The terms of construction are strictly controlled. Despite this, for example, unfavourable weather conditions delayed construction of the laboratory and administrative building for several days. In order to put the facility into service in time, TavriyaMonolitBud Ltd. will involve additional construction workers and machinery. The company will have finished constructing the first floor by April 23.
DI KOR-BUD Ltd. is building a cafeteria to serve up to 300 persons per day. Last week the specialists performed a reinforcing cage and started pouring concrete for a foundation grill.
SMU-25 Ltd. will have completed brickwork, arranged areaways and prepared floor of the mechanical workshop by the end of this week.
Construction Company Ltd will start assembling the grain-cleaning headhouse – an elevator’s heart.
Poltavaspetsmontazh Ltd. is responsible for reinforcing the connecting gallery.
Concerning truck scales, VKF Bulat Ltd. will have finished preparatory works by the end of the week. Zhytlorembud-NIKA Ltd. has started constructing an operating weighting station.
The concrete suppliers were made special demands at the meeting.
In order to arrange outer areas at the terminal, it is required about 4 thousand cubic meters of high-quality concrete. NIBULON has been giving preference to concrete roads instead of asphalt-concrete ones for many years. Despite constant pressure, they proved their reliability and high wear resistance. Why doesn’t the state use NIBULON’s experience in order to save hundreds of millions of budget funds?
Above 30 contractors and 400 construction workers worked at the construction site last week. Till the middle of May, more than 45 construction companies and 1,500 employees will be working at the construction site. The local inhabitants think of how to feed and accommodate people engaged in constructing.
Speaking about financial component, O. Vadaturskyy stressed that about UAH 450 million would be invested in the construction.
The state will receive UAH 75 million of VAT from this project. The engineers and technical personnel involved in constructing will get more than UAH 25 million of wages.
During Saturday’s meeting, Prybuzhanivskyy tug has entered the terminal’s waterway for the first time in order to check the results of dredging provided by the company.
Having passed the way from Mykolayiv to Voznesensk, the tug’s crew was convinced of improving navigation conditions; in particular, the depths and radius of vessel’s rounding were increased. This large vessel was here for the first time. Upon spawning completion, NIBULON will continue dredging that will be finished till July 01, 2016.
Pupils from Oleksandrivka comprehensive secondary school met NIBULON’s sailors. The children came to observe the construction process and NIBULON’s modern tug. According to their parents, vessels entered this territory in the first half of the ‘90s.

NIBULON’s own investment project is implemented in different branches of the Ukrainian economy; thus, it is a multiple project of USD 30 million.
On April 18, 2016, O. Vadaturskyy invited local journalists to visit NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard.
The newly constructed transshipment terminal of “Voznesens’ka” branch will be used to receive, store and to transship on river transport of up to 500 thousand tons of grain and oilseeds per year.
Upon completion of its construction on June 15, 2016, this terminal will become the second one after the terminal of “Novoodes’ka” branch, located on the Southern Bug. NIBULON put into operation the terminal of “Novoodes’ka” branch in 2011.
NIBULON continues dredging the Southern Bug at its own expense. According to the project, the maximum depth of the navigation pass will be no less than 2.4 m, and the navigation will be revived on the river area of 134 km length.
NIBULON’s shipyard will put into operation the first two non-self-propelled vessels of the B2000 project, and NIBULON’s shipping company will number up to 6 vessels by the end of the year.
For information. The B2000 project vessels are designed for operation on the Southern Bug. Main dimensions: length – 71.7 m; breadth overall – 17.0 m; depth – 3.3 m; draught loaded – 2.25 m; draught lightship – 1.8 m; displacement – 2,515 tons; cargo hold capacity – 2,850m3; number of holds – 1; navigation area – Ukrainian inland waterways. These vessels will operate together with 121 project tugs. This will enable NIBULON to transport up 4,000 thousand tons of grain per one cargo trip (121 project tug and 2 vessels of the B2000 project), which represents the same figure as could be carried by 100 trucks.
If the entire country worked like NIBULON did, Ukraine would be improved in three months”, notes O. Vadaturskyy. “In order to achieve this, the Government and the Cabinet of Ministers must ensure transparency in the financial sector, guaranteeing funds for reliable and patriotically-minded business that can invest in Ukraine.
In its turn, our company gives a job to thousands of people and hundreds of teams. NIBULON makes them believe in their potential. I am sure together we will demonstrate that it is possible to implement large and complicated economic projects in Ukraine despite the difficult economic situation”.
