As it was reported earlier, NIBULON inaugurated the automated line for metal cleaning and priming and metal processing workshop with plasma cutting and gas cutting machines at the shipyard as part of the International Exhibitions “Shipbuilding” and “Water Transport” in May; the workshops were built for credit funds allocated by the EIB.
NIBULON successfully continues modernizing the facilities of the shipyard. At present it is reconstructing a complex of molding workshops in order to arrange an assembly and fabrication workshop. The metalware of the workshop has been installed; the foundations for equipment have been laid. Concrete floor pouring is being performed. In parallel the specialists started to install windows, to mount sandwich panel of the roof. They are preparing to install: water supply system, sewerage, heating system, electricity, gas system, and ventilation system.

In parallel with the reconstruction of its own shipyard NIBULON independently continues constructing its fleet. According to NIBULON’s General Director Oleksiy Vadaturskyy, investing in this plant, NIBULON confirms that Ukrainian shipbuilding has its future and will develop. “We will prove that Ukraine is a maritime state and not a country at the seaside. We have sufficient potential to be the best in Europe. This will also be a positive signal for Ukrainian ironworkers whose metal will be used to build vessels that will fly the Ukrainian flag. The company plans to build up to 15 vessels annually”, said Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.
We would remind you that the loan totaling USD 74 million allocated by the EIB will enable NIBULON to create an investment package totaling USD 200 million. The money is directed to finance NIBULON’s investment project. In June, NIBULON finished the construction of two transshipment terminals along the Dnipro River in Kherson region and in Zaporizhzhia region as part of this cooperation. In particular, the solemn opening of the transshipment terminal for grain and oilseeds shipments on river transport in Bilenke village (Zaporizhzhia region) was held with the participation of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Hroisman on June 15.
