By June 1, the company will have built its transshipment terminal worth UAH 500 million in the territory of the territorial community. Recently, it has transferred a new social object – modern complex of treatment facilities worth UAH 10 million, to the possession of villagers. “This is a real, socially responsible approach of the investor on the area where it works”, stated Kostiantyn Bryl, head of Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, during a solemn opening ceremony.
According to him, the village has been on the edge of environmental disaster for many years: in the absence of treatment facilities, thousands of tons of untreated water from houses, hospital, school, and penal colony have been discharged directly into the Dnipro River.
“NIBULON was looking for a land plot for its new transshipment terminal and couldn’t let the new facility to be located in a dangerous area both for community and the Dnipro River”, told NIBULON’s General Director, Hero of Ukraine Oleksiy Vadaturskyy. According to him, after consultations with the Regional State Administration it was decided to finish building the existing modern facility using the revised project of NIBULON’s specialists and transfer it into possession of the community.
Oleksiy Vadaturskyy noted that construction of another high-tech river terminal along the Dnipro River in Bilenke village would have been impossible without support of the team of Kostiantyn Bryl, who made a commitment to help with all bureaucratic obstacles in the process of the project implementation.
“Thanks to the governor, we had access to any supervisory organization on agreement of all project decisions, decisions connected with land”, he noted. According to Oleksiy Vadaturskyy, Kostiantyn Bryl initiated the appeal to the President and the Prime Minister, which was signed by mayors of the cities and heads of RSA of the Dnipro regions regarding creation of favourable conditions for revival of domestic navigation and shipbuilding.
In turn, the governor called the company a “right, fair, and socially responsible” investor.
“We see only advantages of this investment project. It will contribute to the unshadowing of the grain market. In addition, this is investment in the community. The village will receive UAH 300-400 thousand of deductions every month only from this terminal, which represents about UAH 4-5 million per year. It can be used for a school, roads, lighting, a kindergarten, a first-aid station, and reduction of social tension. Plus, we add transparent payment for the land the company will use. We will get a prosperous community”, said Kostiantyn Bryl.
NIBULON’s General Director stressed that the company was oriented to a young generation of employees and therefore interested in creating the most comfortable conditions, including conditions for teaching children. While delivering his speech, he also promised to build a modern school stadium in Bilenke and equip an interactive computer classroom.
“We want young people not to leave the village but to work here, so that their children can study here, so that they see the prospects in the village, become agrarians and work for the prosperity of the country”, stressed NIBULON’s General Director.
According to Oleksiy Vadaturskyy, the facility in Bilenke is the first project of the terminal which is fully funded by a credit line of USD 74 million allocated to NIBULON by the European Investment Bank. It will give an opportunity to create 140 new jobs in the village. “It will have positive impact both on people and on the community. We will give job to everyone who has such a desire. In addition, the task of our facility is to remove up to 300,000 tons of grain from the roads. Only from the outskirts of this region, distance of 450 km (!) , 41 thousand tons are brought to Mykolaiv per year”, noted Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.
He also added that 14 construction companies from Zaporizhzhia region were involved in constructing the terminal. “We loaded all the plants of concrete products and even had to attract companies from the Dnipro, as we have gained the momentum. We usually build such terminals in 100 days. Therefore, all the contractors we work with go through rigorous recruitment and selection process. Now we are constructing the terminal that will be able to receive grain of a new harvesting campaign”, noted Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.
According to Kostiantyn Bryl, NIBULON and Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administrartion intend to implement another project in the near future – to revive the abandoned elevator in Tokmak and turn it into a modern grain terminal. “The complex of three NIBULON’s projects – in Bilenke, Kamianka-Dniprovska, and Tokmak – will enable our agrarians to save from USD 4 to 6 per ton of grain only through improved logistics. In addition to relieving pressure on the roads, we will also work with NIBULON to monitor violations in overload of vehicles”, stressed Kostiantyn Bryl.
Oleksiy Vadaturskyy added that according to the calculations of the company, every million tons of grain removed from the roads allowed one to save UAH 790 million on road repair for the state and local budgets. NIBULON intends to transport up to 4 million tons of grain per year along the Dnipro River and the Southern Buh River in the near future.
“When there is construction process, when such projects are being implemented, it is clear that there is life in the country. If such complex projects are being implemented during the war, then one can definitely talk about the invincibility of our country. If we had more such companies as NIBULON, Ukraine would be ahead of all the European countries”, said the Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration Kostiantyn Bryl.
