NIBULON Enters the TOP-500 Largest Companies in Central and Eastern Europe

Thirty-two companies from Ukraine have been included in the rating “TOP-500 largest companies in Central and Eastern Europe” published by the Deloitte auditing and consulting company. This figure has been significantly reduced as compared to the previous year, when 53 companies from Ukraine entered the rating. This was caused, first of all, by Hryvna devaluation and domestic demand reduction; companies lost a part of their assets and had financing problems.
Despite challenges, Ukrainian companies, included in the rating, achieved an increase in income (Hryvna) by 16,6 % on average according to the results of 2014. The national currency devaluation (an average annual Hryvna rate reduced by more than 48% in relation to Euro) has considerably influenced the companies’ results demonstrated in the rating – in terms of Euro, the corporate income has reduced by 21,2% on average. The inflation negatively influenced the domestic market, reducing people’s purchasing capacity and demand for some products.
At the same time exporters have increased their competitive positions. In particular, NIBULON has increased its income.
NIBULON (it was represented in consumer sector and transport) is ranked in 2nd place among five Ukrainian companies under the category “TOP 5 companiesbyincomeincrease”, having achieved an income of Euro 853.9 million in 2014 as compared with 2013.
According to the rating’s authors, NIBULON is one of the largest vertically integrated agrarian holdings which high yields and expansion of product markets significantly influenced rating results.
In addition, NIBULON (subsector “Production of consumer’s goods”) has entered a list of Ukrainian energy and mining companies represented in the rating.
NIBULON proves once again that it is one of the key domestic investors and an agricultural producer. NIBULON is the company that revives shipbuilding, develops and improves logistics, creates logistics infrastructure and revives cargo carriage along the Dnipro.
According to NIBULON’s General Director Oleksiy Vadaturskyy, today business itself has to invest in Ukraine’s economy. We should not talk about new workplaces, we must create them; we should not talk about market transparency, we must implement this principle; we should not talk about social responsibility, we must organize it.
“I think Ukraine will survive if business starts investing in the economy.  New workplaces and new companies will promote the development of Ukraine. This will be a persuasive evidence for the Ukrainian society, demonstrating changes in the country. Only in this case, people will accept unpopular but necessary reforms”, he adds.
It should be noted that the leader of the domestic agrarian market is a constant participant of Deloitte ratings.
Thus, in 2008, the company (the only one from Mykolayiv) entered the TOP 500 largest companies in Central and Eastern Europe and was ranked in 162nd place, having left behind other Ukrainian companies specialized in agriculture.
In 2009, NIBULON was ranked in 192nd place, having left behind all competitors from Ukraine. In 2010, the company reached 152nd position. In subsequent years, NIBULON maintained such a positive tendency.
