One uses Golos.ua website as an area for information mud and fake news about our company. The website is a part of the media group, the owner of which, incidentally, is a wife of Petro Symonenko – a leader of forbidden in Ukraine communist party, Yuliia Vashchenko. Trying to create the pretense of professional approaches in preparing information materials, one has even sent a request for information to our company. Although, based upon its content, it was prepared hastily and unprofessionally. And as it turned out no one was interested in our answers. The publishing company easily came up with what they are going to write. So it isn’t surprising that using such an unprofessional approach the article “Party “protection”of NIBULON” is of poor quality and plain. They have mixed everything: economic activity, politics, and other events that in no way relate to the company or its manager. There is no sense to repeat and prove that two plus two equals four; that is why we will only briefly comment on the “sensational news”.
In particular, the author of this article accused our company that we have managed to work successfully for 25 years of our activity. In this case, we will not deny. It is true that over these years we have rather developed ourselves no thanks to someone, but despite the obstacles, and we had overcome a lot of them. We have faced the illegal takeovers, information attacks, and many other obstacles. However, we not only survived, we became successful and strong as we were creating our business without focusing on a particular political power; we were focusing on fair and transparent business, which, as you know, doesn’t require “protection”. This is a style of our company. So we thank the author for such a high score of our activity. We will continue to develop our business successfully and efficiently.
We had peculiar relations with a former head of Mykolaiv Regional State Administration Mykola Kruhlov. During the period of his management there were attempts of illegal takeover of our company, and attempts to involve the company in purchase schemes of assets of Shipyard named after 61 Communards. There was a kind of blackmail on the subject of provision of Mykolaiv region with bread and stabilization of bread price at the expense of our company.
At the same time, this is not the first time when one ascribes assistance of Mykola Kruhlov in purchase of the area with unfinished construction at Chernomorskyi Shipbuilding Yard to our company.  In fact, one addressed himself to our company only after well-known large transnational companies had refused to buy unfinished construction of Chernomorskyi Shipbuilding Yard. The 2012 elections to the Verkhovna Rada were close, and the shipbuilders of the city hadn’t received wages for several years, and therefore the social situation in Mykolaiv was explosive. Both the Prime Minister of Ukraine and head of the region addressed themselves to our company and asked to sign this agreement and buy a neglected land plot covered with weeds. The money from this agreement was used to pay the shipbuilders and the foreign companies, the shipyard owed them for the period of executing of shipbuilding orders.
It was like an involvement of our company in a fraud of public authorities. When the elections were over the situation was saved, and NIBULON paid for land plot with unfinished construction, one tried to take this territory away. We should remind you a few facts. NIBULON purchased the land plot of 7.9 ha with unfinished construction process, covered with weeds for UAH 79 million, while the whole enterprise producing aircraft carriers with the area of more than 300 ha was privatized by Russians only for UAH 114 million. We are not talking about “schemes”, but, unfortunately, no one is interested in this, although everyone knows that our shipbuilding industry is being developed successfully.
Today there are many witnesses who can confirm the events of that period. So those who say that NIBULON allegedly caused the decline of shipbuilding in Mykolaiv just do not understand what they are talking about. We are one of the few companies which is developing this industry successfully. In particular, we are reconstructing and modernizing our own shipbuilding yard, which at the same time is constructing modern cargo vessels. We are convinced that this will be best shipbuilding yard in Europe. 
So, as you have already understood, different events of that period eloquently testify that we didn’t adjust to the particular authority but the contrary – we worked independently, legally, paying the taxes honestly, developing the business, building new facilities. Of course, politicians and officials have always tried to use success and authority of our company during election campaigns. It’s obvious that politicians will address themselves to us to support them in upcoming elections.  The authorities need such successful companies as ours, positive occasions, new facilities and so on. That is why almost all officials who had been in power visited our facilities within official visits.
We have used for 25 years of activity of our company that there is an unfair struggle against us by deception, shadow transactions,  instigations of residents in regions where we run our business, but we have always fought off all such manifestation successfully. The longest day must have an end. The wars end, politicians come and go away, life puts things in their right places, and the history assesses – who is right and who is to blame.
Trying to mislead readers the author even attributed attempts to expand our company to us, accused us of tendency to gigantomania, referring to a non-existent sharp increase in land bank of the company and the alleged “lobbying of urgent sale of land”. It’s obvious that the information is false. First of all, our company has never stated the intentions not that worked in the direction of sharp increase in the company’s land bank. We have always followed a rule that every company should cultivate a feasible amount of agricultural land, as we successfully do. If you look at the dynamics of increase in leased land plot, it will become clear that NIBULON increases its land bank systematically and gradually. Thus, in 2011 we leased 79.4 thousand ha of land, in 2014 – 81.1 thousand ha, at the end of 2016 – 82.8 thousand ha.
Today NIBULON is a successful and efficient company that works efficiently and invests in the economy of Ukraine, revives navigation on inland waterways of Ukraine, builds complete modern vessels, creates hundreds of jobs, pays hundreds of thousands UAH of taxes and charges annually, etc. Despite the difficult period for our country, we maintain confidence of first-class European banks, foreign financial institutions and business partners, and we are very proud of it. NIBULON is a self-sufficient and successful business. Our company successfully works in difficult conditions, competes honestly both in domestic and foreign markets with the companies that represent the most powerful economies in the world. We are ready for any changes or innovations, including those ones that are occurring in the grain market of Egypt. In our opinion, they will become a movement towards improving and civilized functioning of the grain market. So it’s absurd and nonsense to compare our company with the companies that went bankrupt.
Once again returning to the subject of information request, we stress that we respect a profession of journalist and work of the mass media and consider that this work is difficult and requires competence and high moral qualities. If one addresses himself to us with professionally prepared requests to cover the real facts, the mass media always receive all the necessary information as the company is ready for dialogue. But when we see slander and intended misrepresentation of facts that deserve consideration in courts, there is no sense to provide information in such cases (especially as all the necessary information about NIBULON’s activity is published on the company’s official website).
