At present the shipbuilders are mounting anchor and mooring equipment, providing compartments for approval and painting them.
In addition, the specialists are installing air and sounding pipes as well as screens for sidelights. The shipbuilders have already placed the vessel’s name and watermark on the outer shell plating. The specialists from the mechanical and fitter workshop are producing foundations for deck equipment.
Within the next few days NIBULON will launch its non-self-propelled vessel at NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard. Then the vessel will be outfitted; in particular, the hatch covers will be assembled.
At the same time the shipyard keeps constructing the second non-self-propelled vessel.
In particular, the specialists have already assembled units No.11-12; thus, the vessel’s fore end has been formed. They are assembling sections of the aft half-hull and producing parts of mechanical and fitter area.
The NBL-91 project non-self-propelled vessels (barges) of river navigation type have two cargo holds. The vessels will be accompanied by a pusher tug (NIBULON has six tugs of the POSS-115 project and three tugs of the 121 project). They are designed for transporting general and bulk cargoes.

It should be noted that the company has modernized its shipyard as part of the hull formation of NIBULON’s first non-self-propelled vessel. In particular, the company itself constructed the eighth haulage slipway and the seventh launchway in order to widen thereof. NIBULON also repaired supporting foundations for other slipways. This modernization allows the shipbuilders to lift and launch vessels of 90 m length.
The NBL-91 project non-self-propelled vessels are a logical continuation of the shipyard’s workload program that provides for the construction of three tugs (121 project), five non-self-propelled vessels of the new project, two multipurpose sea tugs (3,500 hp and 5,000 hp), a crew vessel, plus a non-self-propelled barge with a mobile grab crane (C14938 project) in 2015-2016.
