At the same time the specialists finish performing pre-commissioning works and step-by-step testing of the modern equipment from the reliable producers of the world, such as Bühler GmbH (Germany), PRECIA S.A. (France), Cimbria Unigrain A/S (Denmark), UAB Liucija (Lithuania) etc.
After it is put into operation, it will provide new jobs, in particular for grain processing operators, dockers on loading-unloading operations, electrical fitters for electrical equipment repairs, electronic engineers, etc. It should be noted that the facility is fully automated; therefore, it requires minimum human intervention to ensure uninterrupted work.
50 % of works on territory improvement have been completed. Due to untypical weather conditions in March (frequent precipitation in the form of rain, snow, frost, ice-covered ground), their implementation, as well as the construction of 20 m of the cargo berth, is slightly delayed. However, it doesn’t affect the terms for the facility commissioning. The 10th and 11th sections of the berth have already been concreted.
We would remind you that thanks to the cargo berth reconstruction, the waterside at the transshipment terminal will be almost 800 m; this will enable the company to handle up to five vessels simultaneously. In turn, this will increase the efficiency of vessel handling, as well as the efficiency of the fleet that was built at the company’s shipyard.
