Ternivka local community, representatives from the local authorities, teachers, and schoolchildren participated in the environmental activities performed by NIBULON. The fish stocking was monitored by a special committee consisting of the representatives from the Department of the State Agency of Fisheries in Zaporizhzhia region, the State Environmental Inspection in Zaporizhzhia region, and the local authorities. “NIBULON currently contributes to the revival of rivers in Zaporizhzhia region; in particular, the company replenishes fish stocks”, mentioned Oksana Kamenova, a head of the fish stocking committee and main specialist of ichthyology and fisheries regulation department at the State Agency of Fisheries in Zaporizhzhia region.   “Specialists from the Institute of Fishery of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine determined the type and quantity of young fish. In spring 2019, NIBULON carried out the first stage of fish stocking in the Ploska Osokorivka River in Ternivka village. At that time the company constructed its third facility in Zaporizhzhia region. NIBULON stocked the river with more than 1.7 tons of bighead carp of about UAH 102 thousand. Recently, the company has stocked the river with 10 tons of silver carp of worth about UAH 600 thousand. In case of necessity to conduct additional dredging, NIBULON will perform further fish stocking. Based on their observations and research, the scientists will determine the type and quantity of fish”, added Iryna Ploshnyk, NIBULON’s environmental protection engineer. NIBULON popularizes environmentally-friendly and responsible business activities, implements its own energy-saving and environmental protection programs, constantly allocates funds to preserve the environment and to prevent natural resources depletion. In particular, the company carries out respective environmental activities, such as fish stocking and green spaces arrangement at the sites where its branches operate. According to Viktor Lavryk, Ternivka village head, “Since NIBULON has constructed its facility in our region, in addition to providing new workplaces  for bothTernivka villagers and people from neighbouring districts, the company has repaired and built new roads, illuminated streets, repaired roofs at the school, club, and sports center. NIBULON improves living conditions for Ternivka villagers. The company allocates funds to arrange green spaces along the river bank and on the village council territory. Consequently, it is a substantial contribution to the development of not only Ternivka village but also Zaporizhzhia region.” Iryna Sobol, a principal of Ternivka school, stressed that NIBULON actively implemented its environmental campaign and other social projects promised by Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.“For several weeks our pupils have participated in arranging green spaces in Ternivka village. They helped to plant young nut trees near their school as well as saplings of willows and birches on village council land and along the river bank. Now our village is very beautiful and cozy.” This year, due to NIBULON’s initiative and financing, Ternivka has planted 862 ornamental and fruit tree ssaplings as well as 116 rose bushes, worth UAH 167 thousand. The young willows and birches, planted along the Ploska Osokorivka River bank, will soon serve to fix the shores. “NIBULON has brought the village back to life”, summarized Olga Ivanova, a director of the local house of culture. “On arriving to our village, NIBULON has revived it, promoting its cultural development as well as renovating social and infrastructure facilities. The villagers gladly join the company’s initiatives and see the improvements with their own eyes.
