The excursion started with NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard. The guests had an opportunity to familiarize themselves with its production facilities and see the process of vessel construction. The Australian farmers accompanied by Serhii Kalkutin, deputy general director of logistics, and Olha Babanina, head of financial department, also had an excursion to NIBULON’s transshipment terminal for shipment of grain and oilseeds in Mykolaiv
The Australian colleagues were impressed with the capabilities and modern technological devices of the transshipment terminals and production and technological laboratory equipped (according to the highest world standards) with laboratory and research equipment to measure quality and perform scientific research on grain and its products.
“As a foreigner who came to Ukraine and visited a Ukrainian company, it is extremely pleasing to note that NIBULON entered the world market and works with partners from all over the world, representing many years of its country’s traditions. I am amazed at how professionally organized your work is. It is also nice to note good attitude towards employees and respect for them. I’ve also noticed that Mykolaiv quickly learned how to enter the free trade market, which allows this Ukrainian city to live a full healthy life”, said Steven Bierema.
The next and perhaps one of the most interesting stages of the visit to the company was a meeting with General Director Oleksiy  Vadaturskyy.  He answered all the questions (and there were a lot of them) asked by Australian colleagues. The questions ranged from the ones about how everything was started to prospects and plans for the future. Welcoming the guests in Ukraine, General Director said,
“I am extremely pleased that you are interested in our company and you have dedicated a day in order to familiarize yourselves with NIBULON. You have already visited our shipbuilding and repair yard, you have seen NIBULON’s fleet, visited the transshipment terminal, assessed equipment of the modern laboratory. You have a visit to wheat fields of “Prybuzhanivs’ka” branch ahead. I am sure that after visiting the production branch, when you see our machinery, our fields, you will not want to go home. You will make sure that we are a successful company, we work honestly, and you will understand why”.
After visiting NIBULON’s facilities in Mykolaiv, the guests visited “Prybuzhanivs’ka” branch. Kostiantyn Khmelnytskyi, deputy general director of agricultural production, Oleksandr Tereshchenko, regional director of agricultural production, and Oleksandr Pirozhenko, director of “Prybuzhanivs’ka” branch, showed the Australian farmers NIBULON’s crops of wheat, sorghum, sunflower. The guests also managed to see field works that are actively being performed at NIBULON’s branches, in particular grain harvesting using loaders and soil cultivation (hulling of stubble, disking, plowing).  The Australian colleagues also visited the transshipment terminal of “Voznesens’ka” branch.
The guests also had an opportunity to see the company’s agricultural machinery, which also astonished the Australians. Modern combines, tractors, cultivators, renewed truck fleet is a result of NIBULON’s large-scale investment project. It should be noted that this year, the total investment in the company’s agricultural machinery fleet is about USD 6 million. In particular, NIBULON purchased 10 new John Deere and Case combine harvesters, 7 Fendt 1038 VARIO tractors and 22 Belarusian MTZ 952.3 tractors, and 6 CASE Tiger Mate cultivators.
At the end of the excursion, summing up the impressions, the Australian colleague Lach Douglas did not refrain from admiration,
“It is just amazing, both the story of the business started and what you have done. It is really impressive what you have done. It is a very big business, both shipbuilding and repair yard, fleet, and this when the main activity is agriculture. However, the biggest impression was the volume of granaries. I will definitely tell about it to all my colleagues who have not been lucky to visit your company”.
The Australian colleagues thanked the company management for an informative visit and promised to visit NIBULON once again. They also invited NIBULON’s specialists to visit their companies in Australia.
