NIBULON Increases Export

In 2013 calendar year NIBULON’s export comprised more than 4 million tons. This current 2013/14 marketing year is going to be finished with a record figure of more than 5 million tons by the company. More than 3.6 million tons of exported corn, wheat, rapeseed, barley and sorghum are serious reasons for such optimistic forecasts.
In 2014 the company will continue to open new horizons of export business. We would remind you that last year NIBULON started cooperation with such countries as Ireland, Vietnam, South Korea and others. The company also plans further cooperation with these partners.
NIBULON’s own cargo fleet plays a significant role in achieving high results in export activity. In particular, the tugs of POSS-115 project and non-self-propelled vessels of NBL-90 project ensure large volumes of transportation operations along the Ukrainian rivers. In 2014 navigation season the latter has comprised almost 177 thousand tons (including for export). For comparison: for the analogous period in 2013 – more than 110 thousand tons.
At present the company is building two tugs of POSS-115 project at its own shipbuilding and repair yard, and its future shipbuilding plans include construction of non-self-propelled vessels of NBL-91 project.
Since August 2013 St. Mykolai self-propelled floating crane has been operating in the outer roads of Mykolayiv Commercial Sea Port. At present St. Mykolai has already proved its efficiency. For 30 weeks of operation the floating crane has loaded more than 556 thousand tons of wheat, barley, corn, rapeseed and other crops from non-self-propelled vessels.
Besides water transportation, NIBULON actively uses rail transport organizing exit routes within the Memorandum of Cooperation with “Ukrzaliznytsya”. Since January 2014 there have already been created 42 routes and transported 147 thousand tons of products. For comparison: for the analogous period in 2012 there were created 6 routes and transported 21 thousand tons; in 2013 there were transported 81 thousand tons by 23 routes.
The announced results are intermediate but optimistic. The company continues to extend its presence in the international trade market attracting buyers with its product quality and developed logistics.
