NIBULON Invests USD 6 Million in Renewal of its Agricultural Machinery

We have devoted 25 years out of 26 years of our activities to investment in the agriculture development. The purchase of modern agricultural machinery and tractor-drawn implements in 1997-1998 was a decisive impetus for development of the company as an agricultural one. In particular, in 1998, a loan under support of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the IBRD) is granted directly to NIBULON for the first time in Ukraine. The loan of USD 5 million was used to implement the export development project. As part of the project, the company purchased agricultural machinery of about USD 9 million, namely 66 Fendt 824 tractors and tractor-drawn implements (tillage machinery, seeding machines and the ones for plant protection) manufactured by RAU, LEMKEN, Kleine. This was one of the largest batches in the world delivered directly to the agricultural producer.  After the successful completion of the program, the IBRD honoured NIBULON’s work with a diploma for the most successful activities within the project. At one of the exhibitions in Hannover, NIBULON’s General Director Oleksiy Vadaturskyy was recognized as the head of the largest final consumer of Fendt tractors.
For 20 years, German tractors have undergone tests in real soil and climatic conditions. Due to the close cooperation with the manufacturer, we expressed all wishes during equipment operation; they were taken into account, and the new models of tractors were improved. The period of warranty maintenance of equipment for NIBULON was 4 years (usually it is up to 1-2 years) and this was an unprecedented event. We are proud to say that the machinery has worked up to 35 thousand operating hours and the technical condition is of a good level. Unfortunately, in most cases it is impossible to avoid the breakdown, because some of the required parts to repair these models are not manufactured any more. Taking into account this fact, our company decided to renew its machinery. This will undoubtedly result in an increase in the quantitative and qualitative results of the grown products as one of the main strategic objectives of the agriculture development. Therefore, the company partially renews its fleet on a regular basis.
According to Roman Kuzmin, head of engineering and maintenance department at NIBULON, the company has already signed contracts for the delivery of seven Fendt 1038 tractors, five Case IH Axial Flow 6140 combine harvesters, five John Deere S760 combine harvesters, five Tiger-Mate II cultivators, three Kinze 3000 seeding machines, and Lemken Rubin 6 disc harrow. In addition, the company will also buy twenty-two MTZ 952.3 tractors. Up until now, they have been supplied exclusively to the European market. In 2018, they will appear in Ukraine for the first time in NIBULON’s fields.
Thus, the total investment sum is USD 6 million. This machinery will be added to all NIBULON’s production branches and will operate during the 2018 agrarian season, thereby significantly accelerating its terms and improving the efficiency of work.
“The main advantages of the new agricultural machinery are: high capacity, minimum fuel consumption at maximum capacity. And of course, the best conditions for the work of operators, which is especially important for us.  In particular, one Fendt 1038 tractor is capable of replacing two tractors that were manufactured earlier. This will result in improvement of productivity and decrease in the agrotechnical terms of field works. Average output by new combine harvesters is 10 thousand tons (as compared to 4.8 – 6 thousand tons by old models)”, said Roman Kuzmin.
The best machine operators are invited to run the new machinery. Engineers and mechanical engineers, having undergone special training, will ensure high-quality maintenance of NIBULON’s machinery and tractor fleet.
NIBULON successfully cooperates with world-renowned American, European and other producers of agricultural products, machinery and plant protection agents. Training courses and seminars are held at the branches, during which foreign specialists and company employees discuss agricultural production methods, trends and problems.
