These results were published by the Stark Shipping company in its “Ukraine's grain terminals” research.NIBULON achieved this result by implementing its large-scale patriotic investment project to revive Ukrainian rivers as transport arteries. The company revived shipbuilding, built its own high-capacity and Ukraine’s most modern harbor vessels, and created a well-developed infrastructure of high-capacity river transshipment terminals. NIBULON’s team consists of highly qualified professionals, thereby enabling it to be a leader in grain transshipment by ship-to-ship method. The company revives domestic navigation and increases the volumes of cargo transported by inland waterways. Thus, the company’s exports increase every year, particularly the volumes of grain transshipped in the outer roads (1.48 million tons – in 2017, 1.79 million tons – in 2018, 2.83 million tons – in 2019).In 2020, the company shipped for export 3.48 million tons in the outer roads, setting an absolute record since it commenced operations. The harbor vessels, such as floating cranes, tugs, and non-self-propelled vessels also play a significant role in it. Results of NIBULON’s fleet operations in 2020:The NIBULON MAX 140-m self-propelled floating crane transshipped 2.26 million tons of agricultural commodities.NIBULON built this vessel at its own shipbuilding yard in 2019. It is equipped with two electrohydraulic grab cranes (Liebherr-MCCTEC Rostock GmbH) with a maximum lifting capacity of 45 tons each. The cranes’ productivity is 18,000 tons per day. The vessel has two cargo holds with the capacity of 13,400 cubic meters. The St. Mykolai self-propelled floating crane transshipped 1.03 million tons of agricultural commodities. This is the company’s first floating crane, built at SNC Shipbuilding Yard (Romania, Constanta) to NIBULON’s order in 2013. This vessel is equipped with a Liebherr electrohydraulic grab crane with a nominal daily capacity of up to 20 thousand tons and a cargo capacity of 45 tons. It is used for loading foreign-going vessels in the outer roads. The Nibulonivets and Nibulonivets-2 non-self-propelled floating cranes transshipped 190 thousand tons of agricultural commodities. These two non-self-propelled vessels were built at NIBULON’s shipyard in 2016 and 2018. They are equipped with the TEREX FUCHS MHL 385D transshipment machines with a daily transshipment capacity of 4,000 tons. The vessels are used for loading and unloading operations in the outer roads and at the transshipment terminal, as well as loading non-self-propelled vessels to the full shipload on the Dnipro. NIBULON’s fleet transported 4.14 million tons of cargoes by Ukrainian rivers, thereby recording the best result in the company's history. At present, the company’s harbor fleet comprises 48 non-self-propelled vessels and 24 high-capacity tugs of various projects and classes used for operations on the inland waterways. The company’s fleet is the youngest in Ukraine, as the vessels are a hundred percent Ukrainian, designed by Ukrainian specialists and built from Ukrainian steel. The vessels fly the flag of Ukraine. Several companies from other sectors of Ukraine’s economy are engaged in building the fleet. The company’s vessels comply with the requirements of the international and national standards, conventions, and codes.Since the 140-m self-propelled floating vessel was built, NIBULON has improved its operations, as the floating vessel improves considerably the entire fleet operation and achieves high results in transshipment of agricultural commodities for export. At present the company can transship 6 million tons in the outer roads, thereby exceeding the capacity of the transshipment terminal in Mykolaiv. This year’s results give reasons to expect new achievements. During the first three months, NIBULON has shipped more than 1 million tons of agricultural commodities.
