In 2017, the International Finance Corporation allocated a long-term loan of up to USD 110 million to NIBULON, in particular to help strengthen agri-related infrastructure, to reduce crop losses, and to boost global food security. As part of the cooperation, in November 2017, NIBULON started to construct its complex for shipment of grain and oilseeds with the capacity of 43 thousand tons as part of the transshipment terminal in Mykolaiv. The money is also used to construct NIBULON’s fleet and to reconstruct the capacities of NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard.
Niels K. Vestergaard, Principal Environmental Specialist of the IFC, NIBULON’s General Director Oleksiy Vadaturskyy, Deputy General Directors and the company’s leading specialists visited these facilities to make sure that NIBULON’s investment program is being implemented according to schedule and to the full.

When I first time saw NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard, it was honestly not in a very good condition. And what I see today is a modern and very active manufacturing process. I am glad to see the differences. And it’s impressive to see  the amount of work you can do there in a very short time. NIBULON is definitely an example of a successful business in Ukraine”, said Niels K. Vestergaard.
The IFC and NIBULON have been cooperating for many years.
