Besides various social projects, the ones aimed at harmonious and inclusive development of every employee, the ones that develop not only the body but also the spirit are also priority projects for the company. Competition of this type is an example of how employee’s leisure becomes part of the company’s life, especially when it comes to sport. Sports competitions enable many persons to discover potential opportunities, discover new interests for them, and also team up, developing team skills.
The competition was interesting for relatives and teams members’ friends who came to support their favourites, propelling the spirit of victory of football players.
Four teams took part in the competition: “Central office-1” (captained by Volodymyr Slavinskyi, deputy general director on trading), “Central office-2” (captained by Valerii Ushanov, a specialist of Economic Security Department, “Transshipment terminal” (captained by Dmytro Akimochkin, a docker on loading-unloading operations), “Shipbuilding and repair yard” (captained by Roman Mushenkov, a chief mechanic).
Despite the rainy weather, the teams demonstrated all their capabilities. The team of the transshipment terminal won the competition with the score 5-2 and received a cup and a diploma.”Central office-2″ and “Central office-1” took second and third places respectively.
Andrii Arkhypov, a member of the victorious team (deputy director of the transshipment terminal), talking about secrets of the winning strategy, distinguishes two equal components – pass and fortune, as all the teams showed a high-quality game.
“The competition has become a challenge for our team; on the one hand, we managed to score 6 goals, and at the same time we missed 6 goals. We have to do a thorough work on the mistakes and win a new championship in spring”, said Mykyta Tokar, a vice-captain of “Central office-1 “, a specialist of Foreign Economic Relations Department and Marketing.
Valerii Ushanov, a participant of the competition and its organizer, also shared his impressions, “It is difficult to express today’s emotions and delight in words; the game is over, but I still feel that I have to tackle and score a goal… I thought that the rain would hinder, but in fact we did not even notice it; there was strong energy on the pitch. Stronger team won the competition, but this should put the terminal’s employees on the alert, since other teams have been given an effective incentive to grow and train even more”.
Oleksiy Vadaturskyy, being a football fan, also attended the competition and was imbued with the spirit of competition. He was impressed with the fact how the players were playing their hearts out, struggling for the victory, “If the Ukrainian National Football Team played so persistently, we would definitely have more victories”.
The competition showed the stronger team, and time will tell who win the next time; it is planned to hold a spring mini-football cup, and there are more volunteers to compete. This game started annual mini-football competitions among the divisions of NIBULON.
One can say that football is no longer just a hobby for the company´s employees: a team called “NIBULON” took part in city futsal competitions. Friendlies are held between teams of NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard and other enterprises of the shipbuilding industry. In addition, mini-football tournaments are held among the company’s branches, such as “Chyhyryn”, “Zolotonis’ka”, “Reshetylivs’ka”, “Kamianka”, “Sukhorabivs’ka” and others.
Meanwhile, new teams are formed, players train, improving their professionalism, and fans prepare football chants for their favourites.
