On the 1st of July, at the beginning of the new marketing year, the newspaper “Delo” published rating of the largest exporters of grain crops from Ukraine in 2010/2011 MY. As indicated by the publication in season 2010/2011 12 million tons of grain have been exported from Ukraine according to preliminary data, which is almost two times less than last season (the result of 2009/2010 – 20.8 million tons). The specific mode of grain export has made significant adjustments to the list of the largest exporters of grain from Ukraine – the newspaper “Delo” noted. – Although the leader remained the same – for the third consecutive season “NIBULON” heads the list – but the result of the company has declined almost two-fold in proportion to the overall decline of grain export from Ukraine. According to GrainUkraine, in a period of 11 months of the season 2010/2011 the company exported 1.6 million tons of barley, wheat and corn to 3 million tons last season. “This season we were guided by the fact that the company will export 2.8 million tons. At the same time export capabilities at a level of 5 million tons were quite achievable,” – General Director of “NIBULON” Oleksiy Vadaturskyy said. He noted that the company in fact has been eliminated from the market because of the inability to obtain quotas for grain export. According to the edition, the state takes the second place. “Khlib Investbud” exported a little more than 1 million tons in a period of 11 months in conditions of absence of competition in the domestic market, major part of its volume (677 thousand tons) is corn. It was also reminded that during the second distribution of quotas the largest transnational grain traders that pretended to quotas, could not get them, provided that record volumes were distributed to “Khlib Investbud”. The newspaper notes, grain traders that were eliminated from the market as a result of such actions, consider a simple acknowledgement by the authorities of their blunders inconclusive. “We need to identify the reasons for defects and chaos that have occurred this season. There is a specific person involved in such a case, who caused huge damage to the agricultural sector of Ukraine. The season was failed, Ukraine was discredited during the year, the agricultural sector was deprived of revenue and no one was punished, no one is guilty of this”- said Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.
