The berth of 100 m is installed by NIBULON’s specialists with the help of the company’s fleet and diving service. The berth doesn’t affect the ecosystem. It is similar to those ones installed at the Kinburn Spit and in Mykolaiv on Kabotazhnyi Mol. While installing the berth in Ochakiv, the company’s specialists also trawled the water area at NIBULON’s expense. They have also measured the depths in the area of the berth installation site for safe mooring of passenger vessels. In addition, the local authorities laid wooden flooring through the beach to the berth to place for embarkation/disembarkation of passengers for the convenience of vacationers.
Opening the new berth Oleksii Vaskov, deputy mayor of Ochakiv, said that the launching of passenger trips by legendary hydrofoils was a significant event in the life of the town and the entire region, and people who remembered that period, probably, thought of them with nostalgia.
“It is the first trip to the Kinburn Spit today, and our locals and guests can travel to clean sea water, enjoy the nature and clean sea air. Therefore, the town authorities are very grateful to NIBULON’s General Director Oleksiy Vadaturskyy for this social project. I hope that in the future such routes will be developed, and in the near future we may have an opportunity to go to Odesa”, said Oleksii Vaskov.
There were a lot of passengers for the first trip from Ochakiv to the Kinburn Spit. Therefore, it was decided not to hold up the vacationers. After a ceremonial cutting of the ribbon, everyone was invited aboard and wished a pleasant rest.  
We would remind you NIBULON planned to launch passenger trips by the route Ochakiv – the Kinburn Spit last year. Unfortunately, we didn’t manage to do this due to lack of certified and properly equipped berth. We know how disappointed those people who really waited for these trips were. However, this summer everyone will be able to get from Ochakiv to the Kinburn Spit on a comfortable, safe and high-speed vessel.
