By implementing its investment program, NIBULON has created a modern grain market infrastructure in Ukraine and made it accessible to all agricultural producers in the country. The company’s high-capacity transshipment terminals and elevators complexes operate in twelve regions of Ukraine, and its modern fleet of 82 vessels transports cargoes. Each NIBULON’s facility was constructed using up-to-date technologies and is equipped with modern machinery produced by leading manufacturers. Thus, cooperation with NIBULON is advantageous. More than 4,000 NIBULON’s partners can prove it. Thus, last week NIBULON organized an online conference at its facilities on the current/problematic/urgent issues about quarantine and plant protection. NIBULON’s transshipment terminal in Mykolaiv was the center of this event. Other NIBULON’s branches joined the conference online. In general, about one hundred agricultural companies and farm enterprises from various regions across the country were invited to participate in the conference. The specialists from the Department of Phytosanitary Safety told the participants about the main phytosanitary requirements required for the export of domestic products, the tendencies of these requirements and changes in future, about marketable grain growing and prevention of yield losses. In addition, during the conference the participants discussed current issues about a producer’s personal interest in the activities of the Department of Phytosanitary Safety, namely the steps to obtain a pest free area status, the cost paid for analysis of one hectare of a field to obtain a pest free area status; seed quality control by the state institution and seed quality measurement by the Department for Testing Seed and Market Conditions of Planting Material of Mykolaiv Regional Phytosanitary Laboratory, as well as other issues. It should be mentioned that this conference was valuable for many participants, as it provided a commodity producer and the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection with an opportunity to cooperate in different activities in the future. This knowledge will help agricultural producers to optimize their own work to increase yields, preserve soil fertility and to keep a high production level. Together, we continue to increase production volumes of Ukrainian high-quality food grain. The presentation made by the specialists from the Main Department of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection in Mykolaiv region and Mykolaiv Regional Phytosanitary Laboratory for the online-conference is attached here. We would remind you that NIBULON exported 4.9 million tons of grain and oilseeds in 2019/20 MY. The last three marketing years have been the best in the company’s history.
