Even as night falls on the city, NIBULON’s transshipment terminal in Mykolayiv city continues to operate. “When everything around stands still, life is in full swing at the company’s transshipment terminal”, says Vyacheslav Gorbachov, a deputy head of the foreign economic relations and marketing department of NIBULON. Annually, at the transshipment terminal there are loaded above 120 vessels (in certain years more than 200 vessels), including Panamax vessels. From year to year NIBULON remains one of the main exporters of Ukrainian grain.   “NIBULON is an export-oriented company and foreign economic activities are in the foreground”, tells Valeriy Kunytskyy, “Imports is no less important for us. During the investment program implementation we cooperate with foreign partners to purchase modern equipment in the countries of Europe and America for construction of elevator complexes and our own fleet. Thus, NIBULON has obtained an image of a reliable and serious partner in the international market”. Valeriy Kunytskyy is a head of the foreign economic relations and marketing department of the company. Before his coming to NIBULON he worked at the custom house. He says that he took an interest in the company due to its availability, stability and transparent activities within legal boundaries. “At the end of the 90s there were a lot of companies being engaged in foreign economic activities. Most of them appear and disappear quickly, some of them carried on their short business activities with the legislation violation. Among thousands of companies NBULON was an example of doing foreign economic activities within the law”, says Valeriy. In 2003 the company’s export activities extended. On putting into operation the facilities for direct shipment at the transshipment terminal, in August 2003 there was loaded D.S. PIONEER vessel (Cyprus) with fodder barley. It was the first batch of Ukraine’s grain of 2003 yield shipped to Saudi Arabia. Since then NIBULON has loaded 1 328 vessels and shipped for export above 23.6 mln tons of grain. “All NIBULON’s achievements are a result of hard work by all employees of the company. The specialists of the department made efforts for the sake of NIBULON’s successes, its recognition both in Ukraine and worldwide. It is a long-term work, at any time of day and night, on weekdays or days off. Some negotiations with well-known foreign partners dragged on till deep into the night, but we always reached an agreement”, mentions Valeriy Kunytskyy. Sergiy Dymchyshyn has been working for NIBULON since 2010. Till now he has been engaged in purchasing marine equipment at “Okean” shipbuilding yard. He says that NIBULON has given him an opportunity to use his experience in the process of equipment purchase for construction of the company’s own fleet, “NIBULON gives greater freedom to make creative decisions. The company has its own strategy to revive navigation on the Dnipro River and invests considerable funds in implementation of this goal. I got a job in NIBULON during construction of tugs of POSS-115 project. I spent a lot of time at “Okean” shipyard controlling equipment purchase. At present we regularly visits the shipbuilding yard in Constanta city (Romania) where the floating crane is being built by NIBULON’s order. The vessel will be the most productive floating crane in Ukraine according to the experts”. “Foreign economy is a branch that will always be of key importance for the country”, says Maryna Vezlomtseva, a senior specialist in dispatch and avowal, “As long as there are borders, the company requires such specialists like we”. This year Maryna Vezlomtseva celebrates her anniversary, 15 years of work in NIBULON. As a real professional with unique experience she shares her knowledge with young generation of specialists. NIBULON became the first workplace for most employees of the department, “It is easy to work with the youth. They are active, ready to study, and learn information quickly”. Volodymyr Slavinskyy started to work in NIBULON during his university studies, “NIBULON’s management became a real example to be followed by. The company sets global goals as to domestic economy development, ensuring of food security in the world. I appreciate being involved in such a good deed”. Olena Kuchmanych started to work for the company during her studies at the university. It is quite obvious that her diploma thesis was connected with NIBULON where there were analyzed advantages of vertically integrated structure of the company. Today Olena has an opportunity to estimate the company’s advantages in practice. She says that NIBULON means a wide range of tasks, an opportunity to learn and to find out something new, and a great team, “We know what a team spirit is. In our department each one is ready to support and to help. It is impossible to work without such qualities as every minute counts”. Vyacheslav Gorbachov says, “It is very important for a specialist to correspond with our work pace completely. As we actively work outside office more than half a working day. Our work is constant cooperation, speed, and operability. Everything depends on a person. My work is of great value for me. For seven years I have had an opportunity to speak with experts, to observe vessels from tens of countries. There are a lot of nuances, namely mentality, political and economic situation in the country. I will never forget my first loaded vessel, my first outer harbor (port of Ochakiv town)”. Vyachelsav assures that the company has changed his character, “Now when I face some difficulties and obstacles, NIBULON’s experience helps me to overcome them and reach my aim. I became attentive to every detail and more resolute in making decisions”. “The company plans to develop itself and enter new markets”, stresses Valeriy Kunytskyy, “We aim at entering into cooperation with new partners proving Ukraine’s reliable image as an international trade participant. It goes without saying that our department will play an important role in the process. We tend to improve our knowledge and experience in foreign economic activities for future successes of the company”.
