According to the organizers, for the first time in the history of conference there was decided to change the conference location and to organize it together with a company that would have a perfect reputation in the agrarian market. It was decided to choose NIBULON, and the organizers are grateful to Oleksiy Vadaturskyy for his assistance.
On the first day of meeting the managers and specialists of the agrarian companies, analysts of the market held their own conference where there were discussed a number of issues connected with the main tendencies in the markets of grain and oil crops, formation of grain batches for export, logistics improvement, use of microfertilizers and macrofertilizers and others.
Kostyantyn Khmelnytskyy, NIBULON’s deputy general director of agricultural production, familiarized the participants with the advantages of sorghum cultivation by NIBULON’s example having made an emphasis on the crop profitability and potential. He stressed that at present there was an urgent necessity to popularize sorghum among Ukrainian producers taking into consideration that sorghum was the most profitable crop in the areas of risk farming.
The second day of the conference had an excursion format; the conference participants visited NIBULON’s transshipment terminal and the shipbuilding and repair yard “NIBULON”.
According to them, they were impressed and surprised by the transshipment terminal. The main thing to be noted is the company’s activities, coordination of all services and each employee, production automation. The guests noted that despite active operation of the terminal, there was no fuss; the work was organized perfectly.
The director of the shipbuilding and repair yard “NIBULON” Dmytro Gorbenko told about its history and future shipbuilding plans. The conference participants observed the tugs of POSS-115 project which are being built at the shipyard. They showed interest in the status of vessels construction and their technical characteristics. Volodymyr Zhmur, deputy director of production, answered the questions.
Pavlo Korotych, a chief editor of The Ukrainian Farmer, stressed, “Serious business that desires to develop must cover all directions which are important and topical. In Ukraine there are a few companies that demonstrate very interesting and, sometimes, unexpected combination of sectors; NIBULON is considered to be a business innovator. The agricultural exporter that builds its own fleet – it is not just normally, but it is right”.
