NIBULON actively redirects its cargo flows to water transport. Each year it increases the volume of cargoes transported by inland waterways. Our shipping company transports not only grain, but also other cargoes, namely metal, building materials (sand, piles, etc.), coal, Kherson watermelons and melons. But we do not stop at what has been achieved. We continue to expand the list of types of cargoes transported.
Anatolii Hankevych tug and two non-self-propelled vessels cast off from Kherson Sea Port and moved to Poltava Ore Mining and Processing Plant (Horishni Plavni, Poltava region). They transport a new type of cargo – an iron ore roasting kiln of foreign production – for the first time.  It is expected that the cargo will arrive on Tuesday, November 13.
The production technology of such equipment requires assembly and testing directly at the production plant, after which it is ready for operation. Thus, its transportation requires the use of transport of appropriate size, which optimizes the cost of both delivery and commissioning.
In view of this and in order to optimize the possible expenses, DEALEX TRANSPORT Ltd. decided to use the technical capabilities of NIBULON’s fleet, having involved NIBULON’s shipping company in transporting the kiln. According to the representatives from DEALEX TRANSPORT Ltd., a total weight is 800 tons, diameter – about 8 m, and every part of it should have been loaded on the company’s vessels using a 100-ton crane.
In the field of transportation of bulky cargo by inland waterways of Ukraine, NIBULON’s fleet can compare itself to An aircrafts in the air.
For the first time in the history of Ukraine, an agrarian company revives domestic navigation and shipbuilding providing stimulus to other sectors of the country’s economy (industry, construction, metallurgy, etc.). NIBULON’s shipping company has transported more than 12 million tons of cargoes, and therefore 500 thousand trucks have been removed from the roads.
In 2017/18 MY, the company transported 2.5 million tons by water transport per year. NIBULON continues to implement its large-scale investment project aimed at transporting 4 million tons per year by river transport. The company plans to achieve this result within two years. To transport such volumes of cargoes, a new powerful fleet is needed. And NIBULON builds it at its own shipbuilding and repair yard in Mykolaiv, one of the few shipyards in Ukraine constructing complete vessels. The shipyard launches a new, larger and more complex vessel almost every month. In the coming years, the company’s fleet will consist of 100 units.
