NIBULON’s training center is the first center in Ukraine to enter the Unified State Education Electronic Database (USEED), and, in accordance with the license received from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, center is involved in vocational training, retraining, and advanced training followed by the issuance of state standard certificates. In 2019, 204 specialists from NIBULON’s shipyard, shipping company as well as from the transshipment terminals and complexes for grain and oilseeds receipt, storage, and shipment received advanced training and retraining state standard certificates covering various professions, such as a slinger, an electric and gas welder, a ship’s pipe erector, an arc welder of automatic and semiautomatic machines, a hull assembler, a ship’s fitter, and a ship’s assembler. “Last year I underwent training to qualify as a 2nd grade slinger. Online training enabled me to obtain knowledge from experienced teachers. It is great that I have the opportunity to improve skills without leaving my native city”, tells Leonid Sprinsian, an engineer at Holoprystanska branch (Kherson region). Serhiy Ostapenko, a head of the passenger transportation department, also underwent training and qualified as a slinger profession. “The theoretical training is followed by practical training which guarantees good results. The professional skills help me to conduct launching and lifting operations with passenger vessels, to arrange a working process when constructing passenger berths, and others. NIBULON’s training center gives an opportunity for every employee to constantly improve personal and vocational skills, thereby enabling the company to hire skilled personnel who will constantly improve their knowledge. Consequently, the company’s activities will be optimized. The training center provides free and on-the-job training. Now I am mastering a new profession as an arc welder of automatic and semiautomatic machines. I appreciate an opportunity to work with experienced instructors during training, as there are many specialists at the shipyard, who have relevant work experience in the world leading shipbuilding companies”, shares Volodymyr Napriev, a hull assembler at the shipyard, who is currently undergoing training. In addition, last year there have been accredited new professions, such as a metal structure assembler, an arc and gas welder, a gas cutter, and a slinger. The company’s training center specialists do not stop at what has been accomplished. While providing training, they have prepared the documents required to expand a list of new professions, such as a crane operator, a grain handling operator, a dock engineer of loading and unloading operations, as well as a loading and unloading machine operator. The company is also engaged in providing training not only to its employees but also to people who want to obtain qualitative knowledge. The number of people interested in training is increasing every day.
