The complex is equipped with devices from the world leading manufacturers, such as Bühler GmbH (Germany), PRECIA S.A. (France), Cimbria Unigrain A/S (Denmark), UAB Liucija (Lithuania), etc. The complex of 43 thousand tons increased total capacity of the silos located in the territory of the company’s terminal to 173 thousand tons and it provided the opportunity to store ten different crops separately and simultaneously.
Due to two ship loading machines from British company TELESTACK Ltd. installed on the reconstructed berth, which was put into operation along with the complex, shipment on water transport is from 10 to 12 thousand tons per day. The agricultural commodity receipt from water transport is the same; it is ensured by a unique Terex Fuchs MHL 385 F mobile machine (Germany).
The new complex is aimed at mainly increasing the volume of agricultural commodity receipt and ensuring the uninterrupted transportation of cargoes from “Voznesens’ka” branch and “Novoodes’ka” branch along the Southern Buh River, as well as forming batches of non-self-propelled vessels for loading vessels in the outer roads. This year, NIBULON’s shipping company has transported about 350 thousand tons of cargoes along the Southern Buh River, which is 38 % more than last year’s figure. Due to this, 14.7 thousand trucks have been removed from the highways of Mykolaiv region. In addition, this year, the company has showed the best result of cargo transportation along the main waterway of the region; it has transported 9,620 tons per one cargo trip. In the coming years, NIBULON plans to construct its fleet, which will number 100 vessels, in order to transport 4 million tons of grain per year. In particular, in 2018/19 MY, it is planned to transport 3 million tons, and in 2019/20 MY – 4 million tons.
We would remind you that the length of the waterside at the transshipment terminal in Mykolaiv is about 800 m, which allows the company to handle up to five vessels at the same time. This increases the speed of vessel handling and thus increases the efficiency of the company’s fleet constructed at its own shipbuilding and repair yard.
