NIBULON’s Pride: The Best in Their Fields

We open the NIBULON’s Pride series with an article about this year’s winners, by telling the story of our colleagues whose workplace is behind the wheel in the cab of modern machines. One works in the field and lays the foundation for the future harvest, and the other works on highways, transporting the grown grain to its destination. And together they make an important contribution to the company’s work and the world’s food security.

Truck Driver Yevhen Topikha has been working for the company for less than two years, but during this time, he has proven himself to be a true professional, a responsible employee, and in 2025, he demonstrated the highest performance in his work. For which he was awarded the nomination “Best Truck Driver”.

Head of the Freight Road Transport Service Oleksandr Khokhlov characterizes Yevhen as a responsible, hardworking, and proactive employee:

“Yevhen came to us about two years ago and immediately showed himself to be the best. He performs any task on time and with high quality, does not shy away from any work, and in all indicators, he is in first place.

In addition, Yevhen is very sociable, friendly, non-conflicting, and he can find a common ground with anyone. He is proactive and is not afraid to express his opinion, to offer solutions that can improve and speed up work. Yevhen is not indifferent to his work, and this is a very valuable trait!”

Yevgen is engaged in grain transportation and says that he loves driving trucks over long distances the most. However, he is happy with any work; the main thing is to complete the assigned task, no matter what:

“I like my job, I love the road, and being on the move. We have a very cool team – both drivers and dispatchers – no matter whom I turn to, everyone helps and supports me. I work on new modern equipment – I immediately started driving a Scania. The company gives me all the conditions for high-quality work, as well as confidence, and stability – and this is very important today. And I, in turn, try to do my job as best as possible and make my contribution to the common cause.”

Agricultural Machinery Operator Serhii Tupolenko began his journey at NIBULON in 1997, and today he is one of the most experienced employees of the company. For his high professional level, responsible attitude to work, and significant contribution to production results in 2025, Serhii was awarded in the nomination “Leader in Production Performance”.

The management notes that Serhii not only confidently and skillfully works with various types of modern equipment, but also maintains it in perfect working condition, adheres to technological requirements, and safety standards. Serhii is a prompt, disciplined, and reliable worker who can always be relied upon, which is especially valuable for field work and affects the quality of the harvested crop.

Serhii currently works at the Prybuzhanivska branch in the Mykolaiv region. He says that he came to NIBULON immediately after the army:

“I was looking for a job then; I was offered the position of a tractor driver. I tried it – I liked it, I got involved, and just like that, time flew by imperceptibly – 28 years! Now, looking back, I understand what a breakthrough it has been and how much the approaches to land cultivation, technologies, and machinery have changed.”

Serhii says that it is difficult for him to accurately count the types of equipment that he has mastered during his work experience. However, it is undoubtedly better to work on modern equipment.

“I still remember the old Soviet equipment. The one I started with, and the modern one we are working on now, are worlds apart! I am mainly responsible for spraying, but if necessary, I am also involved in other types of work. Last year, I cultivated the fields with Case Patriot and Amazone Pantera sprayers and a Fendt tractor. The most important thing for me in my work is to complete the task clearly and on time. I understand that this largely determines what kind of harvest we will be able to harvest,” says Serhii.

The stories of Yevhen and Serhii are more than stories about professional achievements. This is an example of how youthful energy and many years of experience are combined for the common cause of NIBULON – to ensure global food security and support the economic well-being of Ukrainian farmers, shareholders, communities, and company employees.
