In addition to testing, the shipbuilders keep outfitting the vessels (as well as the third tug of the project).
The shipbuilders will complete mooring trials of Kozatskyi tug soon. In particular, they are setting up the gear to lift the pilot house, automation systems as well as radio-navigation equipment. They have already installed furniture and bathroom equipment in the vessel’s living accommodation. The first vessel of the project is being prepared for sea trials.
As to the second tug (Pereiaslavskyi), the shipbuilders have started mooring trials. In particular, the specialists have already started up and tested main engines and auxiliary diesel-generators with support facilities and gears on the shipyard’s berth. In addition, they have already tested fire-fighting, drainage and ballast systems. NIBULON’s shipbuilders are preparing to set up the hydraulic system to lift the pilot house as well as to set up the sanitary water and air conditioning systems. The cables of automation systems will be connected, and illumination devices will be assembled soon.
The third Kremenchutskyi tug (121 project) is on the shipyard’s berth. The vessel will be launched and outfitted. The shipbuilders will test systems and gears. At present the specialists are plating spaces in the living accommodation and producing ceiling in the engine room.
It should be noted that the company laid down three tugs (121 project) on August 21, 2014 with the participation of the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko who said, “NIBULON is a symbol of Ukraine, a symbol of Ukraine’s revival, the revival of Ukrainian agriculture, its working people, its engineering industry, the construction of ports and shipbuilding”.
Within the next few weeks, in June, Mykolayiv will celebrate an important shipbuilding event. The company will officially put into operation three tugs (121 project) at NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard and will lay down non-self-propelled vessels (NBL-91 project), thereby testifying the beginning of construction of vessels (new series) at Mykolayiv shipyard.
