At present NIBULON’s shipbuilders are constructing non-self-propelled vessel to transship grain by a grab mobile crane (С14938 project).
Thus, the specialists have already formed parallel middle body (units No.2-8) at NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard; they are joining the afterbody (unit No.1) to these units. Thus, there remains only the unit No. 9 (forebody) for the shipbuilders to produce. The unit will be joined to the hull at the beginning of November.
As to the superstructure sections, the specialists have already mounted the unit No.13. Thus, they are mounting the unit No.15 and assembling the units No. 11, 12, 14.
At the same time the shipbuilders are preparing to mount skegs (structures installed on the bottom in order to stabilize vessel’s movement).
The company’s specialists continue testing pressurized ballast tanks for tightness and impenetrability. They have tested fuel tank cases and are preparing to clean and paint the vessel’s compartments.
In addition, they will soon finish producing and installing welded electro-fitter’s and pre-insulation equipment as well as pipelines in the engine room. In particular, they have already installed gangways and mounted diesel-generator in the engine room. They finish assembling and are preparing to test systems such as fuel system, ballast system, drainage and cooling systems. They are mounting sewage system and fresh water system.
Upon completion of construction and launching, the vessel will receive the class of the Shipping Register of Ukraine: KE * Ice1 B-R4-RSN2,0 Industrial vessel.
Vessel’s characteristics:
length – 38.5 m;
breadth – 12 m;
depth at midship – 3.45 m;
draught – 1.45 m.
It should be noted that the non-self-propelled floating crane together with the Terex Fuchs MHL 385 grab mobile loader (Terex Deutschland GmbH, Germany), purchased by NIBULON recently, will perform loading and unloading operations in the roads, at the transshipment terminal and also auxiliary cargo operations.
We would remind you that recently the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko during his official visit at NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard participated in a number of events being important for Mykolayiv region, in particular launching of NBL-026 non-self-propelled vessel and keel-laying of NBL-027 non-self-propelled vessel.
