NIBULON successfully continues to implement its shipbuilding program constantly increasing the number of items of its new cargo fleet.
In 2016, as part of the program to build a cargo fleet, NIBULON’s specialists bought metal to construct the fifth and the sixth non-self-propelled vessels of the B2000 project and three tugs of the 121 project (modernized one).
Thus, this year the shipyard will process more than 6 thousand tons of special ship metal of Ukrainian metallurgical companies. This amount of metal can be put into 92 hopper cars. By the way, in 2013 the shipyard was put into operation and processed 200 tons, in 2014 – 1,200 tons, in 2015 – 3,700 tons.
NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard has constructed two POSS-115 project tugs of 2500 hp, three non-self-propelled NBL-91 project vessels, three 121 project tugs of 1200 hp, a non-self-propelled vessel with C14938 project mobile grab floating crane, two non-self-propelled B2000 project vessels since the beginning of its operation in 2013.
Moreover, the company plans to build non-self-propelled vessels of the NBL-91 and 90M projects, a self-propelled floating crane of the 901 project, multipurpose seagoing tugs of 3500 and 5000 hp (T3500 and T5000 projects), and other vessels up to 2018. At the same time NIBULON continues to modernize the facilites of its shipyard.
In the first quarter of 2017 we will put into operation:
─ a storage system for metal-roll (the maximum size of metal sheet will comprise 2.5*12 m) with entry railway track. The total capacity of simultaneous storage of metal is 10,000 tons;
─ an automatic cleaning and priming line of metal-roll with the capacity of 10,000 tons per year and area of 500 m2;
─ a metal processing workshop with CNC plasma cutting and gas cutting machines; the maximum thickness of cut comprises 75 and 300 mm, the total area comprises 2,100 m2. We plan to install two overhead cranes with the capacity of 20 tons each in the shop;
─ guillotine shear, hydraulic rollers, press shear, equipment for plates and frames bending.
The next phase of modernization provides for:
─ building shops of sectional assembly for special orders (area of more than 2,600m2);
─ enhancing capacities of crane facilities by placing additional portal crane with the capacity of 32 tons, replacing the portal cranes by new ones with the capacity of up to 35 tons.
