We would remind you that on June 23, 2017, NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard in Mykolaiv solemnly launched the third modernized 121M project tug named in honour of Mykolaiv shipbuilder Nodari Chanturiia, who devoted a significant part of his life to Ukrainian shipbuilding.
By the way, all the 121M project vessels are named in honour of Mykolaiv shipbuilders. In particular, on April 6, 2017, the fist vessel Yurii Makarov was launched in Mykolaiv; on May 24, Anatolii Hankevych tug was launched.
While the outfitting works at the last two vessels of the series are being performed, NIBULON’s shipbuilders continue the construction of the seventh and the eighth non-self-propelled B2000 project vessels and a self-propelled SDS-15 dredger.
The first 121M project tug Yurii Makarov (manufacturing order 10019):
On June 27, 2017, Yurii Makarov tug and two non-self-propelled B2000 project vessels performed its first trip along the Southern Buh River by the route Mykolaiv – “Voznesens’ka” branch.
The second 121M project tug Anatolii Hankevych(manufacturing order 10020)
The first trip of Anatolii Hankevych tug is scheduled for July 2017. The system pipelines, gears and cable are being installed. The specialists are preparing spaces for approval. The pre-insulation outfitting in the spaces is being installed. The specialists have started to assemble panel plating.
The third 121M project tug Nodari Chanturiia (manufacturing order 10021)
The shipbuilders continue outfitting works. The specialists are mounting parts of mechanical and fitter area, pipes of cable protection and electro-fitter’s equipment, as well as the main equipment in the engine room. The main engines and deck equipment have been installed.
The seventh non-self-propelled B2000 project vessel (manufacturing order 10022)
The strength hull has been formed. The specialists finish producing hatch covers. They are mounting welding equipment of a hatch coaming of the hold (vertical sheet-fence of the hold along the perimeter to ensure watertightness and to ensure waterproof hatch closure), hatch covers, as well as deck gears. In addition, the specialists are finishing painting the outer plating. They are actively preparing the vessel for mooring trials and launching at the end of June.
The eighth non-self-propelled B2000 project vessel (manufacturing order 10023)
As of June 26, 2017, the shipyard cut 75% of the parts of the strength hull. The sections of units No. 6-9 (forebody), No. 10 (afterbody) are being produced.
The self-propelled SDS-15 dredger
The shipbuilders are finishing the cut of the strength hull (78%). The sections 101, 131 (unit No. 1), sections 201, 231 (unit No. 2), and sections 301, 331 (unit No. 3) have been produced. The shipbuilders are assembling sections into units and forming the strength hull.
