The new facilities of the shipbuilding yard are built as part of the next page of the reconstruction held with the support of such leading financial institutions as the European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. At present, interior finishing works are being completed in the warehouses, including arrangement of a warehouseman’s room with necessary furniture and equipment. The works on improvement of the adjacent territory are at the final stage. In parallel, the company’s specialists have already submitted documents to the State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate of Ukraine in order to receive a permit to put the newly built warehouses into operation.
As part of the large-scale reconstruction at NIBULON’s shipyard, the slipway reconstruction is being continued, namely construction of six additional rails No. 11-16 and No. 10-15 which will enable the company to build and maintain complete 140-m vessels. To date, 80% of the foundation under the monolithic beams of launchways has been filled (length 72 m, breadth 40 m). We have brought about 20 thousand tons of stone and crushed stone and have mounted 24 reinforced concrete rail beams to perform these works. The construction of the retaining walls of the pier is also being completed; and to this end we have purchased 800 m of sheet pile.
In total, more than 10 contracting organizations have been performing construction works at NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard. Most of them have been cooperating with NIBULON for a long time.
