Along with the construction of the transshipment terminal in Ternivka (Zaporizhzhia region), construction of the company’s modern fleet at its shipbuilding and repair yard in Mykolaiv, NIBULON constructs a filling station to serve its own fuel needs in Luhansk region, which is also an important part of NIBULON’s unique logistics system. The filling stations enable the company to reduce the delivery time and logistics costs.
The hydraulic tests at the construction site in Svatove have been successfully performed. The technological equipment of all four fuel tanks with a total capacity of 300 m3 has also been installed. The specialists have already installed technological equipment of the pumping station. The equipment was purchased from domestic manufacturers. At the same time, the contractors have already arranged a formwork and have reinforced the retaining walls of the settling tank with a capacity of 230 m3. They have also installed foundation of a place to pour fuel into tank trucks and have arranged a railroad switch.
Atrium-Kom Ltd. (Chernihiv) will start electric installation, installation of automation systems, lightning protection and an early warning system from the next week. Upon successful completion of the pre-commissioning works, it will be prepared for commissioning.
Last year NIBULON’s management decided to build three filling stations to serve the company’s needs in the territory of “Kremenchuts’ka” branch (Poltava region), “Svativs’ka” branch (Luhansk region), as well as in Khmilnyk (Vinnytsia region), where the company has its production branch. At present, the procedure for the registration and receipt of all appropriate permits is ongoing with respect to the last one.
It should be noted that the construction of filling stations to serve the company’s own needs will optimize the ways of delivering fuel and will redirect it to rail transport. This will: lead to a decrease in the volume of goods transported by road transport and will contribute to the removal of traffic load; cheapen transportation of grain cargoes, thereby increasing purchase prices for grain; minimize the impact on the environment due to the introduction of modern technologies, which is the most important social factor.
