When conducting its diverse activities, NIBULON always follows one of its main principles for successful business – the preservation of the environment. The company implements its own environmental standards, equipping its facilities with up-to-date devices to protect air, water, and soil, implementing its own energy-saving and environmental protection programs, as well as measures to prevent natural resources depletion, including fish stocking.In order to improve the environmental conditions in the Southern Buh River near Novoodeska branch, the company stocked the river with young silver carp.  The company stocked the river with 40 thousand silver carp, worth about UAH 55 thousand. NIBULON purchased young fish from Karpio Ltd from ponds located in Nova Odesa town). It has the veterinary documents certifying the absence of any dangerous diseases.The fish stocking was monitored by a special committee consisting of representatives from the Department of the State Agency of Fisheries in Mykolaiv region and the State Environmental Inspection in Mykolaiv region. The Novoodeska branch employees also participated in the fish stocking.“Having performed the dredging of the navigable pass on the Kostiantynivka sandbar of the Southern Buh River in 2018, the company conducted fish stocking. The young silver carp weighs about 26 g”, informed Yevgenia Khyrenko, deputy head of the Department of the State Agency of Fisheries in Mykolaiv region and a head of the ichthyology and fisheries regulation department.According to Iryna Ploshnyk, an engineer from the environmental protection department at NIBULON, “The fish stocking aims at reproducing fish fauna and improving river conditions. The silver carp improves water conditions. It eats aquatic vegetation, thereby preventing excessive aquatic weed growth. These measures will preserve the unique Southern Buh’s water environment.  In case of necessity to conduct additional dredging, NIBULON will perform further fish stocking.NIBULON has already performed measures to prevent natural resources depletion. Thus, in 2016, the company stocked the river with silver carp and grass carp with the total weight of 4.3 tons. In 2017, the company stocked the river with more than 6 tons of silver carp, grass carp, and carp.   Consequently, for the past four years NIBULON has released about 440 thousand fish into the Southern Buh.We would remind you that in November 2019, NIBULON conducted its second stage of fish stocking, having released 10 tons of silver carp into the Dnipro River, with a total value of about UAH 600 thousand, and having planted more than 200 willow and birch saplings in Ternivka village (Zaporizhzhia region).
