In its multi-aspect activities, NIBULON constantly keeps as one of its main principles of successful business, the preservation of the environment and an active approach to environment protection problems. The company implements its own environmental standard, which aims to promote environmentally friendly and responsible business.
Compensatory measures, in particular planting, fish stocking in the areas of transshipment terminals and complexes for receipt, storage and shipment of grain and oilseeds construction is one of the ways to implement NIBULON’s environmental standard.  In April 2018, NIBULON planted 11 seedlings of catalpa bignonioides along the railway on Industrialna St. as compensatory measures. The company has also undertaken to look after them for three years. We hope that the newly planted trees will not only serve as a decoration of the city district, but also natural filters to clear the air of pollution and dust.
In addition, compensation planting affected the yard of the dwelling house at the address 65 Velyka Morska St. (near the company’s headquarters), where in August 2017 a tree was felled with the help of Mykolaivzelenhosp Ltd; it posed a threat to electrical grid. In his place, the company’s specialists planted a young tree. The inhabitants of the house paid attention to this fact and expressed their desire to join the planting process, as well as promised to take care of the tree along with NIBULON’s employees.
NIBULON is very responsible when it comes to environment protection. From 2009 to 2017, the company initiated planting of more than 26,000 units of greenery to the total amount of more than UAH 968,000.
For example, the amount of compensatory planting performed by NIBULON in Kozatske (Kherson region) during the transshipment terminal construction comprised more than UAH 16,000. NIBULON planted 840 seedlings of acacia, oak, birch, bird cherry, catalpa, juniper, arborvitae, pine tree, mulberry, chestnut tree, and others. These trees that were planted in the territory of the memorial park and in the territory of kindergarten, school, and park, serve as “green lungs” of the village. In April 2012, NIBULON planted 12,188 units of greenery in the territory of Shostakove village (Mykolaiv region) to the total amount of UAH 100,000; it has taken care of the young park for three years. In addition, during 2012-2014 Mykolaiv Forestry SE received almost UAH 551,000 for the care of seedlings.
This spring NIBULON has purchased seeds of lawn grass, seedlings of roses, fruit trees, and coniferous trees for the company’s branches located in Poltava, Cherkasy, Kyiv, and Kherson regions to the amount of UAH 180,000.
Compensatory planting is a part of NIBULON’s complex measures to prevent natural resources deterioration. During 2009-2017, NIBULON stocked the places of its terminals construction (the Dnipro River, the Southern Buh River, the Kakhovka Reservoir, the Kaniv Reservoir, and Kremenchuk Reservoir) with almost 50 tons of silver carp and carp. NIBULON will carry out fish resources reproduction measures in the Kakhovka Reservoir soon as part of the construction of terminals in Ternivka vllage (Zaporizhzhia region) and Marianske village (Dnipropetrovsk region). Total amount of the planned compensatory measures is about UAH 1,034 million.
