From May 18 to 21, 2018, the company shipped piles on the non-self-propelled vessels at the newly built berth of the transshipment terminal in Mykolaiv in order to transport them by water.
The non-self-propelled vessel was loaded with 233 piles (5-6 m, produced by Mykolaiv ferroconcrete products plant Ltd.). Total weight of the cargo is almost 427 tons.
Today the non-self-propelled vessel will sail to “Kremenchuts’ka” branch. The cargo must arrive at the branch approximately on May 25. The piles are intended for the construction of new grain storage facilities and a truck tipper at the transshipment terminal of “Kremenchuts’ka” branch.
We would remind you that NIBULON transports not only grain but also other cargoes. Last year, the company transported 2.3 million tons of cargoes. In 2017, NIBULON’s fleet delivered Kherson watermelons to Kyiv. And this April the first batch of Ukrainian metal was transported by water.
It should be noted that start of building materials transportation by water is another step towards solving one of the main objectives of the company – significant reduction of anthropogenic load on the Ukrainian roads due to further development of cargo navigation.
