The third POSS-115 project tug (order 10030)
The shipbuilders finish testing vessel’s systems and pipelines in the engine room. The main switchboard has received power supply and pre-commissioning of the diesel generators has been started. The specialists finish adjusting the gear to lift the pilot house, where the panel plating is being continued and the navigator console is being adjusted.
In the vessel’s living accommodations, the shipbuilders have started to install furniture in the spaces of the upper tier.
The fourth POSS-115 project tug (order 10031)
The shipbuilders continue performing outfitting, in particular they are installing welded outfitting and ventilation system; they are also producing and assembling pipes for insulation and plating. The shipbuilders have installed rudder propellers. They continue laying cable in the tug’s spaces.
Self-propelled P-140 floating crane (order 10032)
The shipbuilders are testing buoyancy compartments, cleaning and painting them in parallel with the formation of the bottom part of the vessel’s strength hull. The specialists are installing pipes and welded outfitting in the formed spaces and compartments of the 140-m floating crane.
Due to the scale of the project, other areas of the shipbuilding yard continue producing necessary components of the vessel. In general, one needs almost 5,000 tons of metal in order to build the vessel’s hull and hatch covers. The total length of cable products installed on the vessel is about 150 km. To protect the vessel’s hull from corrosion, one needs about 70.5 thousand liters of modern paints and varnishes. The total weight of materials for insulation of the vessel’s hull is 64 tons.
This is the first vessel with such technical particulars which is being built at NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard. For construction of the vessel, the company is carrying out modernization of the building berth and reconstructing the launching and recovery gear, which has led to an increase in the number of launchways. NIBULON also purchased a portal slewing crane from Liebherr-MCCTEC Rostock GmbH (lifting capacity – 42 tons, jib length – 35 m) for the construction needs.
