A large company is a complicated and powerful mechanism; operation of each link must be accurate and efficient. How to ensure constant operation of such a mechanism? NIBULON’s specialists share their experience in achievement of balance between high quality and effective use of fuels and lubricants.
“If a company is an organism, then fuel is its blood. Every day great responsibility is laid on us: to ensure operation of this organism achieving results and mastering new spheres of activities”, thinks Andriy Monahov, an economist of the department of fuels and lubricants.
NIBULON is Andriy’s first workplace. Mechanical engineer by specialty, he has the opportunity to use knowledge of exact and applied sciences. “Drawings, calculations, analysis are spheres of activity which ensure our development”, thinks Andriy Monahov.
A year and a half ago Maryna Prylutska, a head of the department of fuels and lubricants, and her deputy Iryna Lungul worked as specialists of NIBULON’s procurement department. The management proposed them to head the department of fuels and lubricants that became a good stimulus to their professional advancement. “We saw it as the possibility to show our worth in new sphere of activity”, tells Iryna Lungul.
According to Maryna Prylutska, new position and sphere of activity allowed to see the company’s activity in a different way, “Today we appreciate our work. We are responsible for supplying fuel in time and in full amount, controlling fuel consumption. Continuous work of agricultural machinery, NIBULON’s fleet, truck fleet and motor fleet that maintains NIBULON’s central office and its branches depends on it. We attentively explore needs and new opportunities to optimize fuel consumption, react to changes quickly, work in coordination, as the company aims at solving new tasks daily”.
To ensure operation of St. Mykolai floating crane became a new task for the department of fuels and lubricants. At present the floating crane operates in the outer roads of Mykolayiv Sea Commercial Port, performing complete loading of powerful PANAMAX type vessels in the roads. Its daily capacity comprises up to 20 thousand tons which equals the capacity of NIBULON’s export terminal in Mykolayiv city. Delay and shutdown are not allowed.
“In order to control use of fuels and lubricants, we calculate consumption rate, visit NIBULON’s branches and fleet regularly. It is not only office job, but also real communication with employees of the company, suppliers, development of partnership relations based on respect and trust”, tells Kostyantyn Mospanenko, an economist of the department. Before coming to the department, Kostyantyn has worked at the branch in Lidiyivka village (Mykolayiv region) for 4 years. At present he visits production branches every month. The most important thing in his work is to control.
According to Maryna Pryluts’ka, rational approach to use fuels and lubricants, timely purchase and logistics calculation when supplying fuels and lubricants ensure reduction of expenses on production and transportation of agricultural products, “Quality, appropriate choice and appropriate use of oil products influence on machinery technical condition, work efficiency”.
“Responsibility and understanding of the company’s goals are the main things for our work”, thinks Iryna Lungul, “We are a team of like-minded persons. “Not indifferent attitude to work, support, professionalism, and communication skills are those advantages that allow us to work in this sphere successfully”.
