NIBULON has traditionally joined the charitable event. The company presented a XS-5510 MICROmed monocular microscope to do routine and general research in transmitted light and also to research blood and urine in diagnostic field. The hospital also received a L 734-II BIOMED 4-reflector mobile surgical light which is characterized by high illumination level, low thermal radiation, qualitative color transfer and shadowless effect. Due to NIBULON, Biomed medical suction units for children (7E-B model) were added to a professional and technical arsenal of medical workers. These devices are particularly valuable, as they are used during emergency medical aid to patients being in coma or when operated.
“The citizens know that NIBULON has been constantly cooperating with the hospital for five consecutive years. NIBULON is a Mykolayiv-based company; our employees are Mykolayiv citizens. First of all, we must ensure reliable treatment for our children; thereby, we have been helping the city children’s hospital for several years”, mentioned NIBULON’s General Director Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.
The presentation ceremony was held in the infancy department of Mykolayiv city children’s hospital No.2 that was repaired and equipped with modern medical devices at the expense of NIBULON three years ago. The medical workers sincerely thanked Oleksiy Vadaturskyy, as among 7 thousand little patients being treated here annually, about 70% of them use the equipment purchased by NIBULON.
“We treat all Mykolayiv children, and the equipment purchased by NIBULON will help many patients.
Thus, for example, it would be impossible to save a baby in case of lung disease without an electronic suction unit. A sick baby must take treatment 7-8 times per day”, stressed Oleksandr Plitkin, a head doctor.
In his turn, Yuriy Granaturov, Mykolayiv mayor, thanked Oleksiy Vadaturskyy in the name of parents and children, “Our city is lucky to have NIBULON which does not neglect community problems! Traditionally, this year the company has purchased devices to measure analytical blood value, to discover infections, and also lighting equipment”. The mayor stressed that NIBULON had been cooperating with municipal authorities during many years, assisting Mykolayiv city children’s hospital No.2. The late mayor Volodymyr Chaika was the first to start this tradition. This year Mykolayiv municipal authorities plan to allocate money to repair a nutrition unit in the hospital, changing and winterizing roof and facade, renovating ceiling and walls, changing windows and replacing electrical appliances by modern and energy saving ones in order to prepare clinical nutrition for little patients. It is also considered an issue to create an individual heating system in the hospital to save energy.
Oleksiy Vadaturskyy asked businessmen not to neglect community problems, alleging difficulties in the country, “Children are our future and we must do everything possible not to let them to be ill. Unfortunately, Mykolayiv businessmen pay little attention to community problems. Our company, like your companies, works in Ukraine, and we also realize that our country has a lot of problems, and it is very difficult for our people to cope with them. But it does not stop us.
We continue to assist our local community, support the Ukrainian military, construct our own fleet and to create new workplaces. We are not complaining of the existing obstacles.
Probably, some people should refuse their usual entertainment in order to assist schoolchildren, hospitals and Mykolayiv city as a whole”.
“I have received evidence that annual constant assistance will give significant results later”, said Oleksiy Vadaturskyy. “Today, when entering the hospital, I see new beds and wardrobes, repaired canteen and the best medical equipment. We also provide regular assistance to other Mykolayiv hospitals. Recently, NIBULON has given innovative medical equipment to Mykolayiv regional hospital. People living both in Mykolayiv and its region can be diagnosed in Mykolayiv city and not in Kyiv and foreign hospitals. The cost of equipment is about USD 10 million.”
In addition, Oleksiy Vadaturskyy suggested Mykolayiv citizens to participate in the charitable auction, having proposed a picture with angels made of beads, presented to him by hospital employees. All the proceeds will go to the hospital!
