The award is launched by “Novoye Vremya” magazine, acknowledging personalities who establish new standards in various spheres of life in Ukraine.  According to the chief editor Vitalii Sych, the main idea of the ranking is not to present everyone who has made impact (either negative or positive) on the situation in the country, it is about presenting people with “plus” sign, “We want to present  in our final issue those who are model for others rather than villains. Starting with social networks and ending with personal communication, there is a lot of criticism, aggression, disappointment, and doom in Ukraine. People need some key points, some life-affirming examples. We decided to award, in our opinion, the right people”.  
Oleksiy Vadaturskyy is the only representative of agribusiness (except winemaker Robert Hudiiev) and the only representative of Mykolaiv region in the given ranking. “Novoye Vremya” magazine notes that NIBULON headed by Oleksiy Vadaturskyy became one of the Ukrainian agricultural companies of the most dynamic development. The company has actively increased production and transport facilities for 25 years of its activity.  
Besides NIBULON’s General Director, Minister of Education and Science Liliia Hrynevych, a boxer Vasyl Lomachnko, a singer Jamala, governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Valeriia Hontareva, President of the National Sports Committee  for the Disabled of Ukraine Valerii Sushkevych, a former US Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt, the lead vocalist of Okean Elzy Sviatoslav Vakarchuk, and others were acknowledged as People of “Novoye Vremya”.
