When 6 years ago Oleksandr Sergienko left Kyiv, where he had worked for a long time, and returned home, there was no job for him in his native town, “There were a few companies at that time; the agricultural sector did not develop and the fields were not sown”.
If NIBULON did not start its activity in Summy region in 2008, hopeless searches for job would make Oleksandr leave his home.
“On NIBULON’s arrival, the neglected fields were revived”, recollects Oleksandr Sergienko, “Pryseymivs’ka” branch director. The company started to revive agricultural potential of the district. Strict compliance with the technologies of soil processing and preparation, fertilizing and following the sowing agrotechnical terms brought the first results.
“Today we have things to be proud of”, adds Vitaliy Ohrimenko, a chief agronomist. “Our branch has demonstrated one of the best results according to this year’s harvesting campaign – the third place among NIBULON’s branches in the Central Forest-Steppe zone. High crop capacity and quality of agricultural commodities are our main tasks”.
Yuliya Moroz, a chief accountant, is proud of working for the company, “Till now I have never worked for such a large company that is engaged in foreign economic activity. Here, far away from Mykolayiv city, where NIBULON’s central office and transshipment terminal are located, we feel our involvement in the activities performed by NIBULON for developing Ukraine’s agrarian sector”.
Two more accountants work under the direction of Yuliya Moroz, “Great responsibility laid on us by NIBULON’s management requires maximal devotion and responsibility. A skillful accountant must read a lot, follow the legislation changes, and be attentive and concentrated. Communicative skills are also important, as we speak with people. For example, an accountant of lease relations must constantly cooperate with the lessors, meet with them, explain changes in the legislation, help to process documents. Trust and respect of the community gained by NIBULON are very important”, adds Yuliya.
“The community’s attitude to the company’s activities was formed 5 years ago, when NIBULON started to work in the district”, thinks Yuriy Gerasymenko, an accountant of lease relations. “Today we are appreciated and respected. When cooperating with the lessors, I constantly hear positive reviews about NIBULON. People are pleased to have a good manager; the company is not indifferent to the community’s problems, and in winter the branch removes snow from the streets, gives presents to schools annually”.
For the last 5 years of NIBULON’s activities there have been allocated funds for street illumination, reconstruction of monuments, purchase of music equipment for the house of culture, household appliances for the kindergarten. Last year the company signed the social partnership agreements with Mutynka and Kamin village councils where NIBULON leases agricultural land. These funds were used to repair houses of cultures and road in both villages. This year the sum of social partnership agreements has increased twice. The funds will be directed to develop the village infrastructure.
“Our employees are concerned with their work”, adds Tetyana Yesypenko, an economist. “Mutual understanding and readiness to help, coordination of our team are those qualities that help our branch to be successful during many years”.
