Power Cuts in Hola Prystan have Nothing to Do with the Construction of NIBULON’s Terminal

Today, News.online.ua websitehas spread the news that there are outbreaks of salmonellosis in Hola Prystan town of Kherson region; allegedly, according to locals, NIBULON, which is “laying the line to its facility”, is the cause of the enteric infection appearance.
NIBULON’s Technical Director Oleh Pidhorodetskyi commented on the situation,
“The information about the causes of the enteric infection in Hola Prystan is absolutely untrue. These are people’s inventions because of lack of reliable information. Firstly, nothing is being done on the installing of electricity supply to the order of our company; it means that power cuts in the town don’t happen on demand of NIBULON. The specialists are laying gas pipelines, but this no way affects the electricity supply in the town. There are no power supply networks in the area where the work is being performed. All works ordered by our company are performed in accordance with technical regulation.
The average daily electricity consumption by our construction site is only 60 kWh, which also can’t be the cause of emergency power cuts in the town.
By the way, emergency power cut in the town isn’t a rare case. Worn out electrical networks, wind load on the electric power line and a significant load on the network due to sharp increase in daytime temperatures lead to daily emergency power cuts in the town. Unfortunately, this is not a today’s problem.
For example, last Tuesday, our company, as well as all consumers of the town, was informed that last power cuts, including power cuts at our construction site, happened due to emergency work at the electrical substation in Hola Prystan.
We have faced different methods of unfair struggle with our company for 25 years of our activity. One has tried to take into possession our business, blocked access to our facilities both from land and water, set fire to our office, initiated criminal proceedings, used a lot of other dirty methods. We were accused of all sins and troubles: monopolization of river, ruined roads and so on. As a rule, people who accuse us haven’t created anything and will do anything; they don’t want to see guilty anyone but NIBULON.
NIBULON has withstood the obstacles and will continue the successful implementation of its investment program to revive the Dnipro River and the Southern Buh River as the main transport waterways of Ukraine. We will maintain our statist position, conduct enlightenment activities, develop Ukrainian logistics infrastructure, increase the level of Ukrainian commodities in foreign markets, and revive Ukraine. We can’t be stopped! “
