On the 25th of June, 2010 there will be a solemn opening of “Gradyz’k” branch (Gradyz’k town of Poltava region) – a new transshipment terminal on the shipment of grains and oilseeds on river transport with the participation of Vice Prime Minister on issues related to agribusiness Slauta Viktor Andriyovych, head of Poltava Regional State Administration Udovichenko Olexandr Vasylyovych and other honored guests. Today it is difficult to imagine that only three months ago (!) there were 4 m high shrubberies of ambrosia in the place of powerful terminal. As General Director of “NIBULON”, Hero of Ukraine O. O. Vadaturskyy promised at the solemn ceremony of the beginning of construction of new transshipment terminalof “Gradyz’k” branch, it was completed at the 15th of June! “NIBULON” proves once again that it can construct quickly and qualitatively. Construction of the facility has provided with work more than 1000 people for 3 months. 60 workers will ensure successful work of branch after its completion. Construction companies from all over Ukraine participated in the construction of the new facility. Certainly, the best of them will continue working with “NIBULON” on the other facilities: “Universal”, “Spetselevatorbud”, “Shlyahbudmontazh”, “Cherkasybudservis”, “Stel”, “Poltavagazprom” , “Kremenchuk repair and installation company”, “Blitssevris”, “SOLVI”, JSC on gas supply and gasification “Poltavagaz”, “Akvaterm”, “ATRIUM-COM”, “ASTARTA Melelevato”, “ZhelDorServis”, “Globynskyy Rayagrobud”, “Stalbudinvest”, “DEKA”, “Kremenchuknaftohimbud-Invest”, “Center carcasnogo budivnytstva”, “Firma Vinnyts’ka yakist’”, Construction Management “Zakordonmontazhspetsbud”, “Enex group”, “Granit”. Positive conditions that were created by Poltava leadership and central government, deputy corps of the regional, district and village councils were of great importance in creating a unique facility. Equipment of the best domestic and foreign companies was used for the construction of the transshipment terminal in Gradyz’k: grain loading equipment will be supplied by «CIMBRIA UNIGRAIN A/S» (Denmark); grain cleaning equipment – «SCHMIDT-SEEGER AG» (Germany); driers – «Mathews» (U.S.);filtration equipment of «SIMATEK A/S» (Denmark); samplers – «RAKORAF»(Germany); hopper scaleswith capacity of 300 tons per hour «PRECIA-MOLEN» (Belgium); shiploader – «TELESTACK» (Great Britain); truck weigh bridge – “Bulat” company (Ukraine); silos with a capacity of 60 tons – “Lord” (Ukraine); truck tipper – “Kalynivskyy Machine-building Plant” (Ukraine). Especially for the berth construction of the terminal shaped steel cleats made by «LARSSEN» will be supplied from Germany. Management of the company aims at using of the best advanced technologies to implement the ambitious investment project. Technological equipment was supplied with financial support of the Export-Credit Fund of Denmark. During the construction of a new transshipment terminal “NIBULON” adhered standards of environmental safety to preserve the unique nature of Kremenchuk Storage Lake coast. So during the construction of the facility new advanced cleansing structures at a cost of UAH 1 540 thousand were installed by “NIBULON”. Nine dust-trapping aspiration systems, equipped with modern high-tech filtration equipment of «SIMATEK A/S» (Denmark) were constructed within the territory of the terminal. It is significant that the equipment on the terminal in Gradyz’k meets all appropriate standards of environmental safety. Shiploader of parallel motion by «TELESTACK» (Great Britain) at a cost of 181 thousand English pounds (more than UAH 2 million) will ensure effective dust balance due to complete set of dusting system and hermetic sealing of the structure. It is scheduled to conduct dredging works to enable the passage of dry-cargo ships to the berth of the new terminal. All necessary documents for these works are ready, construction works were carried out during spawning, that is why dredging works have been postponed and scheduled after spawning. Holding of such activities stipulates implementation of strong requirements in order to prevent the exhaustion of natural resources. With this view, the company will pay UAH 106 777 to the local budget into the Environmental protection fund. The money will be spent for the revitalization of fish fund in the region. It is expected that further dredging will have a positive effect on the environment of the region, because today the Gulf of Gradyz’k is sanded, that deprives fish of the opportunities to come here for spawning. This leads to significant losses of Gradyz’k fisheries that are famous outside Poltava region. Transshipment terminal in Gradyz’k village will be the fourth out of eight elevator complexes of the company in Poltava region and the second facility of “NIBULON” in Globyne district and its opening is a logical step in the realization of investment project of the company. The project of “NIBULON” has national importance and is supported by the governments of Denmark and the Netherlands, the World Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, leading western financial institutions, the State Export Import Bank of Ukraine and other banks. Confirmation of high confidence of international financial institutions to “NIBULON” has become signing of an agreement on providing the company with a credit of USD 50 million for the financing of the investment project to revive the Dnipro basin grain market infrastructure. Credit Agreement stipulates financing of the construction costs of five transshipment terminals (total storage of 300 thousand tons), 12 self-propelled vessels and six tugs. The investment project of “NIBULON” is of great value, it is an example of a comprehensive program of system development of business, it has great cross-sectoral importance, because it has positive effect for many sectors of economy: metallurgy, shipbuilding, transportation and covers 10 regions of Ukraine. The project has great significance for the agricultural sector: facilitates the demonopolization of grain market, grain transport logistics optimization, it will also allow Ukrainian farmers to participate in international tenders for supply of qualitative Ukrainian wheat. It is expected that the effect of reduction of logistics during the implementation of investment project will increase the profitability of agricultural enterprises by UAH 4 billion per year. The social component is an important aspect of investment activity of “NIBULON”. “NIBULON” has already allocated about UAH 1.5 million for Gradyz’k development. Including reconstruction of monuments to the dead servicemen of the Great Patriotic War, construction of sports grounds with artificial covering, installation of water supply, reconstruction of cultural centre and roads, and many other social projects aimed at improving life of rural people living in Gradyz’k. So the land in regions is immediately redeemed by the company for the future construction. Thus, local budgets even before the construction works receive additional income. On the day of the solemn opening of the branch the keys of the ambulance to local hospital and computers and office equipment certificates for Gradyz’k School № 2 will be handed. “NIBULON” repaired not only the area that belongs to it, but also town streets (Mechnykova, Ostrowskyy, Lenina, Gvardiys’ka, Heroes of Dnipro streets), lighting in the streets Heroes of Dnipro, Paris Commune and Poshtova was conducted. Gvardiys’ka street today should rightly be renamed into “NIBULON’s” one! The company has fully restored surface, conducted the lighting, constructed bus-stops in the street. Considering the fact that the construction was completed in summer which is a bad time for planting trees, “NIBULON” postponed another great gift to the rural people of Gradyz’k – the park of 800 trees till the autumn of this year. Investment project of “NIBULON” is an example of the fact that Ukrainian company during financial crisis invests into agricultural sector, and the litmus test for foreign investors to revitalize activity in Ukraine. Investment project of “NIBULON” on the revival of the Dnipro River and other rivers of Ukraine as transport water ways, USD 470 million, involves the construction of 57 non-self-propelled and self- propelled vessels, including 14 sea and river tugs, 17 elevators, 10 of them are transshipment terminals along the Dnipro River, the Southern Bug and other rivers. 24 non-self-propelled vessels and three tugs, two elevator complexes (Poltava region) and two transshipment terminals (Cherkasy and Zaporizhzhya regions) are constructed and successfully put into operation. Soon in Poltava region another elevator complex in Artemivka village (Chutivskyy district) will be put into operation. In July 2010 the construction of two more facilities in Kremenchuk and Maryanivka village (Poltava region) will be started. Thus, during the project implementation total elevator capacity will compile 2 million tons by the 1st of July 2011. Implementation of the project will “employ” the main rivers of Ukraine and will provide increasing of river freight volume along the Dnipro River and the Southern Bug.
