Press release: NIBULON Invests in Zaporizhzhia region: the Company’s New Terminal will be Constructed in June

On February 27, a meeting of the Regional Development Council will be held in Zaporizhzhia. It is planned to present the most striking achievements of Zaporizhzhia region and development perspectives for the next three years there. NIBULON’s investment program, within which its new high-capacity transshipment terminal is being built in Ternivka (Vilniansk district), is among those perspectives.
In October 2018, NIBULON’s General Director Oleksiy Vadaturskyy and Head of Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration Kostiantyn Bryl started the construction of NIBULON’s new terminal during the 3rd International Forum for Integration and Cooperation “InCo Forum 2018”. It was started during a live stream from the construction site, where the first pile of the new high-capacity transshipment terminal was rammed.
The transshipment terminal in Ternivka (Vilniansk district) will be the third facility of NIBULON in Zaporizhzhia region. The construction of the terminal in Ternivka will comprise an investment of USD 23 million. The high-tech transshipment terminal will provide jobs for about 120 people, reduce the commodity transport expenses of the local farmers, as well as will contribute more than UAH 5 million in taxes annually to the local budget.  The facility is planned to be put into operation in June 2019.
“This is more than UAH 600 million of investments; these are jobs, taxes, and restart of the entire Vilniansk district”, described the construction of the new terminal Kostiantyn Bryl.
A live stream from the construction site in Ternivka (45 km from Zaporizhzhia) is planned during Oleksiy Vadaturskyy’s forthcoming speech at the meeting of the Regional Development Council. The construction process is in full swing. The specialists ram piles, bring soil and sand to level the territory, construct an administrative building, a canteen, a transformer station, a berth and foundations for a truck tipper, a headhouse, and an underground connecting gallery.
About 1,500 specialists from 70 contracting organizations from almost all regions of Ukraine are involved in constructing NIBULON’s high-capacity transshipment terminal in Ternivka.
In total, about 3,500 piles (105,000 rm) will be rammed, and 5-6 ferroconcrete products plants will have a workload; 100,000 m3 of soil will be brought, 13,600 m3 of concrete structures will be produced, and more than 29,400 m2 will be concreted; 3,640 tons of metalware will be mounted, and a 130-m berth will be constructed.
In addition, NIBULON will dredge 1,821 m of the left tributary of the Dnipro River – the Ploska Osokorivka River – to ensure the water approach to the transshipment terminal.
NIBULON invests in Ukraine’s infrastructure development, revival of the Dnipro River as a transport artery, shipbuilding revival. Our company has invested more than USD 2 billion in Ukraine’s economy and has changed the country’s logistics. NIBULON’s investment project in Zaporizhzhia region is additional profit for the local farmers, significant funds to the local budgets, new jobs, and stimulus to the development of many other sectors of Ukraine’s economy.
“We have constructed 25 facilities and Ukraine’s modern fleet. We have constructed state-of-the-art automated terminals, we have constructed a modern vertically integrated logistics in Ukraine. We plan to transport 4 million tons of cargoes along the Dnipro River, and this saves UAH 4 billion for road repairs. And we continue constructing the fleet. We will transport 60 % of cargoes in Ukraine by river transport. By our own example, we have shown that we transport agricultural products by river transport, thereby removing traffic load from the roads”, stresses Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.
NIBULON continues its work in Zaporizhzhia region, gaining traction and expanding its network of high-tech facilities. The most important thing is that the company is a shining example of socially responsible business in the region.
We would remind you that NIBULON constructed its first terminal in Zaporizhzhia region – “Kamyanka-Dniprovs’ka” branch – in 2010. In June 2017, the company inaugurated its transshipment terminal of “Khortytsia” branch in Bilenke village (Zaporizhzhia district) in the presence of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Hroisman, representatives of international financial institutions, and ambassadors of foreign countries. NIBULON’s appearance in Bilenke village was of great social significance for local inhabitants. At the beginning of April 2017, a complex of treatment facilities, completed and reconstructed by NIBULON, was transferred to the local community. It was a historical event for the whole village because people have waited for this important object of social infrastructure for more than 20 years. In addition, the company also equipped a modern computer classroom at the local school, built a football pitch with a natural green covering and irrigation system, repaired road, and equipped a recreation park on the bank of the Dnipro River adjacent to the transshipment terminal.
