In 2017-2018, the company has been implementing the second stage of NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard as part of cooperation with the European Investment Bank. In 2017, it put into operation two new modern workshops, namely a metal processing workshop and an assembly and fabrication workshop equipped with state-of-the-art devices from the world’s leading manufacturers. At the beginning of 2018, two additional launching ways have been constructed there. They enable the company’s shipbuilders to construct and maintain complete vessels of 100 m. However, this is not the limit for the shipyard. The company plans to construct six more launching ways that will enable the shipbuilders to maintain complete vessels with the length of 140 m.
It is the project length of a self-propelled floating vessel (P-140 project) with two cranes with a cargo capacity of 10,000 tons. NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard has already started constructing it. In addition, NIBULON’s shipbuilders will construct two multipurpose seagoing Т3500 tugs, four POSS-115 project tugs, and six non-self-propelled vessels with cargo capacity of 5,000 and 10,000 tons under financial support of the IFC.
