Within these projects NIBULON builds transshipment terminals, its own fleet, and develops river logistics by redirecting the cargo from highways to rivers.
It should be noted that last week Oleksandr Bilenkyi visited one of NIBULON’s branches – “Reshetylivs’ka” branch (Poltava region) and was impressed by technological level of the branch, its exterior appearance, and level of labour organization. In Mykolayiv the Head of Poltava Regional Council visited NIBULON’s transshipment terminal and NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard.
According to the guest’s confession, cargo transportation by waterways that prevents further deconstruction of pavement in the region and in the country as a whole is of great interest to him.
“There are about 10 thousand km of highways in Poltava region, and 90 % of them are in need of urgent repair. It is not concern of business. It is people’s safety… River transportation will soften this problem, and NIBULON’s management agreed to share experience in this field”, noted Oleksandr Bilenkyi.
Two NIBULON’s river terminals for grain and oilseeds shipment on board in Kremenchuk town and Gradyzk urban village (Globyne district) have been operating in Poltava region since 2010. However, according to the company’s management, NIBULON will not limit itself to cargo transportation. The company plans to revive passenger transportation by waterways, “We want to revive the best traditions of passenger transportation when the speed boats were operating from riverside stations of Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kremenchuk, and Odesa”, said Oleksiy Vadaturskyy.
They also discussed the company’s participation in development of infrastructure of Reshetylivka district and other districts of Poltava region, in particular construction of entry roads. Despite the fact of waterways revival, NIBULON, being socially responsible company, is ready to provide its assistance in repair of roads.
