Sowing campaign has been completed at present. Totally, more than 48 thousand ha of spring crops were sown. Thus, corn occupies 23.1 thousand ha, sunflower seed – 13.8 thousand ha, sorghum – 6.4 thousand ha, soybean – 4.7 thousand ha.
There were preserved 27.1 thousand ha of winter crops for the harvest of 2014. Crops are in good condition; the first fertilizing and chemical protection were carried out. There is being arranged top-dressing of crops.
Weather has favoured sowing this season: both warm weather and precipitation; thus, the agrarians used favourable conditions, and sowing was carried out quickly.
NIBULON’s agrarians made every effort; thus, the current yield is expected to be higher than last season. To achieve this, there was carried out a set of measures: high-quality seed grain and plant protection means were purchased; mineral feeding of plants was kept.
It is too early to forecast the yield capacity of late grain crops, but we have prerequisites to harvest a good yield: sowing was performed in time, and good sprouts grew.
Sowing has been completed. Harvesting is next in turn. In three or four months there will be started this activity. The specialists of production department are appraising a yield, developing and approving plans to place product and seed batches of grain, logistics of movement of combine harvesters and cargo motor transport.
