Works on construction of «NIBULON-4» tug are almost completed at the Mykolayiv shipbuilding yard «Okean». The company is forced to finish construction of «NIBULON-4» tug almost on its own, because the contract with the yard is canceled. In this regard, we finish the tug construction and we are in direct privity of contract with contractors and the yard workers. Termination of the contract is associated with known situation as of today at the yard «Okean». It is not the first time, when «NIBULON» faces with the need to finish the tug construction alone because of the deteriorating economic situation at the yard. The company completed the first tug of the series «NIBULON-1» in a less degree. «NIBULON» made more work during the construction of the second tug, with every new vessel we had to bear the burden of the most part of the work. Those tugs that were completed by our company are successfully exploited now. Therefore, we believe that construction of «NIBULON-4» will be completed at a high technical level and she will worthily join the ranks of «NIBULON’s» fleet. These are not the difficulties for our company! This is a great experience on vessels construction, as this topic is very interesting and important for our company in the future and is an invaluable experience for the team of «NIBULON». Currently readiness is 90%. Mooring trials, namely test and adjustment of basic mechanisms, are started on the tug. Auxiliary diesel generators and emergency diesel generator are already tested in action. Main engines and rudder-propeller unit adjustment is being continued. Deck machinery test of pull and anchor winches is carried out. Painting works are being continued. Insulation works are already completed. Finishing operations are made in accommodation spaces, furniture and most appliances are installed. Trials of main marine systems are conducted at the same time with these works: water and firefighter systems, system of heating, ventilation and air conditioning as well as ballast, fuel, lubricating systems. Contractors of the company continue to set up navigation equipment. Sea trials of the tug will be started soon. Later the vessel will be taken to the appropriate class of Shipping Register of Ukraine. «NIBULON-4» will be put into operation already in May and join the company’s fleet family.
