«NIBULON-4» tug being constructed at Mykolayiv shipyard “Okean” is still in dry dock. As we reported earlier, the vessel should have headed to the yard’s berth for completion of construction work… Unfortunately, we are disappointed with the situation at the yard and with the work pace. According to the agreement and approved schedule, the construction of the vessel was supposed to be completed in January 2012, but a deadline is missed. The yard’s management unilaterally informed us that the work will be suspended for a week because of the severe frosts. Although weather conditions have normalized, the work pace remains very slow. Our contractors suffer from that. They are forced to stand idle, for example because the yard can not provide them with a normal power supply. We`re sorry to realize that the current management of Mykolayiv shipyard “Okean” does not search for pressing issues solutions concerning the vessel construction, and does not show a constructive approach in this. Despite everything, the work performed by the company’s contractors (LLC «ISD», «Alewijnse») is not stopped. Currently availability of factory order № 186 (this is a number of «NIBULON-4» tug in the orders registry) is 75%. At this stage of vessel construction, covering of the upper cabin with panels is continued, lower cabins are completed. Insulation work is completed as well. Installation and testing of ship systems are being continued. Electrical work is in process, particularly control panels are mounted in the deck-house.
